The arena was a pile of poop in brixton.. literally walls falling apart, piss and sweat all over the place.
But Flying Lotus made it home and he knocked me out cold.

older versions of the saying were more along the lines of "a man can not eat his cake and have it still" which makes more sense i guess.

and if it was a fruitcake or something, they usually keep for a few months. i mean it would be nice to know that you had an edible cake in your house but at the same time you would always be wanting to consume it. then every time you went to eat the cake you would be worried that you would lose the feeling of security that came from knowing you owned a fruitcake. thus the dilemma arises: why can i not have my cake and eat it too?
i'm pretty sure "have" in the context of that saying means "to eat", as in "i [I]had[/I] sushi last night", so it's like you want to eat it again after you've already eaten it, which doesn't work (not counting throwing it up and eating ur vomit lol)
in other words, you want more than you can get i guess
