hopefully i'll be able to listen to them soon, i'm really excited to hear they're very experimental releases as opposed to the poppier, rockier style they've been doing recently
I'm mostly excited for their collab EP with Endon. Listened to Acme Apathy Amok the other day and while it's short, it's absolutely fucking brutal - it's honestly only what I could call harsh noise grindcore sludge metal.
And I honestly don't think they've ever gotten bad. They haven't had something like Flood or Feedbacker in a while, but I thought Noise and Vein were pretty good.
Ca5bah is there a reason you rated all my posts dumb? Did I hurt your feelings orrrr
hes very opinionated.
my fav genre is crabgaze
their poppier rockier stuff isn't by any means bad, but it's just kind of okay
Vein is great, but Noise, New Album, Attention Please are just okay
i've always been way more of a fan of experimental drone Boris and noisey loud rock Boris than okay but overall forgettable rock Boris
Can anyone tell me what genre these tracks are, prehaps even recommend some similar artists?

genres aren't dumb though some people just take them too seriously and think they're some super specific and strict rules or smth tbh

IMO genres should just be used to find similar tracks to ones you like, nothing more than that

oh god the genres
after listening to the 3 new boris albums (haven't gotten my hands on the Endon collab EP yet) i can safely say that i'm really glad they decided to put out some experimental stuff again
Urban Dance is top-notch, it's very varied but extremely atmospheric, every track is its own seperate entity while still wrapping up in a nice single whole
easily the most satisfying of the bunch, it works as itself but also as a part of a whole created by the 3 albums
Warpath is basically entirely just very simple, extremely bassy and deep drones with a little bit of variety on top
not as amazing and varied as Urban Dance, but still very nice and hypnotic, really massages my ears
Asia is a weird one, but the first track works off Warpath perfectly if listened to back-to-back
it's more focused on noisey drones than bassy hypnotic drones, but the first track does this extremely well
there's some weird stuff going on with every track having a completely seperate section at the end of them that i don't quite get yet, but i'm hoping that listening to it more will shed some light on it
ends with a really cool noise track that's pretty static and even a bit droney
overall really satisfied, the noise sections are top-notch, the drones are absolutely fantastic and they work nicely as albums instead of being aimless disconnected drones like the Solomon releases

who cares about genres when crabcore isn't a thing anymore tbqh
rip crabcore
the simpler times
I'm really into post-crab (It's just lobsters)
I wish there was something that would display album covers as my wallpaper or something and randomize it

that feel when you find a sick new band and they only have three songs
I wish there was something that would display album covers as my wallpaper or something and randomize it
can't you just make a folder of album covers and then make the wallpaper shuffle through that folder
can't you just make a folder of album covers and then make the wallpaper shuffle through that folder
I meant more as in use all the different covers at once, majority of the covers I have are <600x600 so theyll look horrible if I use a single one as a wallpaper
Only music wallpaper you need:

omg what happened to crabcore?
Anyone got any recommendations for house music? I'd like to get a few albums for running. Stuff like Daft Punk, Justice, etc etc. And if I were to get a Daft Punk album, which would you guys recommend?

You've of course gotta get Daft Punk's Discovery and Justice's Cross, those are two must-haves.
You'd probably like Idealism by Digitalism and OK Cowboy by Vitalic
Apparently Mac DeMarco dropped a new song about a week ago.

Also new album in August. :)

They'll either look like shit because they'll be stretched out or you get ones of the right resolution, which would be super hard to find.
more example of why genres are stupid

this is grindcore!!!! no its just some thrash metal with death growls and some blast beats in the middle of the song
I don't understand what makes grindcore different than death metal with hardcore punk lyrics
who are you....
