What kinda lyrics or what should I even write about if I wanna try to get vocals on this (and just make more on it in general)?

this is a song about catching the train at night and smoking unfiltered cigarettes with migrant people, no doubt about it

I might end up doing that, sigh, but if I can get vocals to work on it I will, ever since the first tune I uploaded on that account I've wanted to have lyrics going but all my songs ended up being instrumental. Here is a really short piece I made for my little brothers school project as an intro thing: https://soundcloud.com/messier-51/forhannes/s-5Lruv
Anybody know of a good book on music theory? I've got a friend who's making music, but he's got no idea how actual music works (he's doing rap beats and dubstep - not exactly genres that need a lot of knowledge). I've tried to teach him what I remember of music theory, but that was years ago and I've forgotten a lot of it, plus I never learned much contemporary theory because my teachers were obsessed with avant-garde shit instead of anything people actually listen to. He's got a birthday coming up and I think a book like that would be perfect for him. Might even pick one up for myself as a refresher.

Theres a relatively new artist on the monstercat label producing some really neat story-driven (almost ARG) Indie Dance. Only two tracks so far but damn are they good and I crave more

truly bombastic.
I worked with the aunt of the white guy in that group, they grew up in the same area I did, and they've got so much acclaim but I've still not listened to them properly :v: I need to check em out, cool to see innovative artists come from Edinburgh and especially the same part of Edinburgh that I'm from. Pretty cool considering there's not exactly a lot of that around here.
New muse, hell yeah.

Where's a good place to buy music CD's online that isn't Amazon? I'm looking around for some older, more obscure (not absurdly so, but not mainstream either) stuff, but Amazon only has like 3 copies that ship from Japan for some reason. It definitely wasn't a Japanese-exclusive release, either.

if you want physical CDs your options are pretty limited. You can always go to the website of the label that released the album and see if they have it there. Most indie labels sell direct online.

They're not indie, more just pretty old and somewhat obscure. I don't think that the label would still print them, most of them were released in the 90's.
