I agree, I was just making a joke - CG's super accessible. I saw him at ACL and I was next to a couple 40-year-old guys who came to see Outkast and they liked him.
Speaking of, holy shit Outkast was one of the best performances I think I've ever seen. Bombs Over Baghdad is the most hype intro song I've ever seen - the show kicked off in like half a second and didn't let up.
I saw Outkast at Bestival last summer and holy shit they were amazing. My mate thought I was going mad because I was pretty much stationary the whole gig mesmerised by the whole thing. They don't come to the UK often.

TBH Bestival was great and I'm probably going this year as well depending on line up.
Found a record dealer at my local markets yesterday
he was a super nice guy and I got a copy of closer by joy division and a cabaret voltaire album - even had an eyeless in gaza album which I thought I would never see in my lifetime and he agreed - said it took him ten years to find which i think is super cool
also bought some cds - three cds, talking heads, jean michel-jarre and nick cave and they cost me $3 a pop. Super cheap.
local record stores/dealers are the best, they'll always have something interesting
just came back from a fucking amazing greek concert..
thing is, a lot of people turned up in really over the top gothic attire.
Now I'm not stereotyping but really there's no point going all out when it turns out the music is actually not dark at all.
the advertisement did show this photo though, so it may have been misleading:

I ate plenty of sushi prior to going in too.
you almost had it man, you almost had it
i had sushi from waitrose, it's v good.

why have I not listened to this band before
If you wanna do something really strange have Homesick At Space Camp by Fall Out Boy come before The Fall of Saigon by This Heat in a playlist. It is a perfect transition and you gotta try it.
Also this song is probably one of my favorites of their song, but it is really hard to pick just one.

not pop punk enough
yeah tbh relapse isn't very pop punk in the first place. probably should have taken that into consideration
if you have to say that then you are
but at least it's not racist, so it's cool.

I feel like the immediate transition from Fall out Boy to This Heat would be hilarious

that multigendered nicki verse was art
My brother released a single lately. Pretty damn professional compared to his old stuff. It's a fusion of prog, electronica, and R&B.

a group of friends that go to my high school made their own band and their first song they made doesn't sound too bad
http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/aaronlocklear/NotLookingBack

finally finished listening to every bull of heaven release i could (can't listen to some of the puzzle releases)
so that was 400+ albums of experimental what-have-yous in the span of 3 months.
just so you guys don't have to do the same, i complied a list of the best ones, since i assume there's at least one or 2 people here who are interested in Bull of Heaven as well
now brb gonna have to start catching up on my backlog
mm that's raw

amazing that u powered through this since about 3/4 of it seems to be shitty drone. not bashing drone just theres so many albums u gave around 1 star here that are apparently just the same for an hour like... u got some willpower and possibly masochistic tendencies

i like to think i have both
also you got your ratio right, my full diary list has about 400 entries but the best of list has about 100 entries, so yeah 3/4 wasn't great
they have lots of good drone but a good chunck is just fucking nothing
[editline]26th January 2015[/editline]
tbh the only time i really felt like giving up was during the roman numeral series
what's not great about 100 albums made from a handful of piano recordings

When youhave 400 albums, a large majority are going to suck.
[editline]26th January 2015[/editline]
Especially when it's drone or some minimalistic genre.
[editline]26th January 2015[/editline]
like theres very little variation you can build upon sometimes and how would you make it sound interesting idk
