New album was pretty solid, but he didn't go any new directions or anything.

edm and rap is future not hipster guitar noises
whoa-ho now that's a post
if you know what's good for you, then you should be listening exclusively to field recordings of people listening to edm and rap
if you know what's good for you then you should be listening exclusively to field recordings anyway
okay
Most his songs sound pretty similar, but I still like his songs.
but in all honesty there's been so much music lately and I'm just catching up on it
Currents is good but Lonerism is still much much better
haven't heard mac dejizzjazzgoofyman's Another One yet but it's supposed to be more like 2 and i preferred Salad Days so I doubt I'll enjoy it nearly as much
The Internet's Ego Death starts out great and just slumps immediately and never recovers but I'm still addicted to the intro track
Magnifique is good as fuck but it's not something I'll listen to super often, also all I can think of when I hear Cream on Chrome is the fucking cool guy has a chill day video
My top 2015 albums are still Viet Cong's self titled (hi vedi), We Cool? by Jeff Rosenstock, and Jenny Death by Death Grips.

new new hop along LP was also really good!!!!
I can't remember what 2015 stuff I've listened to yet or at least ones that have stuck with me aside the new Prurient which I love quite a lot. Not actively seeked out many new releases this year.
[editline]12th July 2015[/editline]
And Jenny death yea those are pretty much the only 2015 albums I've listened to that I thought were particularly good not paid much attention to new releases
top three so far this year are kintsugi, no life for me, and individ

very true yeah
i completely forgot about the new haino record, its a live album right?
yeah, v similar to now while it's warm... and imikuzushi
my favorite 2015 release is probably the new Elder but I also really like the new Chelsea Wolfe and Lightning Bolt albums
i am just gonna post this here since the rate the last gig you went to thread is probably long dead (did it even exist in the first place? i have had a few beers)
tonight i saw a secret (and very short) moodists reunion gig at the gasometer. it was a very chill place and they let me in for free. the rest of the acts on this night were as follows:
ADAM RUDEGEAIR TRIO / CAROLINE NO / CONWAY SAVAGE / ELIZABETH McCARTHY / GO GO SAPIEN / HARRY HOWARD & EDWINA PRESTON / HENRY MANETTA / JANE DUST / JARROD (LOST ANIMAL) / JEFF WILLIAMS / KAYE-LOUISE PATTERSON / KIM SALMON / MALCOLM HILL / MICK HARVEY / MICK TURNER / PENNY IKINGER / STEVE MILLER / STU THOMAS / THE ANCIENTS / THE OCEAN PARTY / THE SAND PEBBLES / THE SMB / THE SPOILS / TONY MARTIN / ZAYD THRING (PETS WITH PETS)
i got there late so i missed some of those but i did get to see mick harvey get mad at his band for not following his cues. there were a lot of old farts there but not as many as you see at ed kuepper gigs.
all up i would give this gig a strong 8
magnifigue was disappointing so it's a good thing i didn't hype myself up for it too much
will continue to play lp3 and classics on repeat for eternity
[editline]11th July 2015[/editline]
btw cloud nothings' collab with wavves was hella
cant believe people listen to wavves
[editline]13th July 2015[/editline]
depressing stuff folks
wavves is ok as far as pitchfork crap goes
wavves is like "yea i cant put 10 seconds of effort into looking up new rock bands this should do the trick"
[editline]13th July 2015[/editline]
why arent we all just listening to chuck mangione still he's OK
did u miss the cloud nothings part vedickardi??
implying that's a whole lot better
don't get mad about it just listen to mika bomb like everyone else
i hate actually talking about music with u guys because there's like zero overlap
thats why i like it, we all have the same appreicaition of music.
my favorite 2015 release is probably the new Elder but I also really like the new Chelsea Wolfe and Lightning Bolt albums
