I dunno, but this movie might be good. The characters don't seem Flanderized as much as they do in the cartoon, so I'll give it a chance.
You guys are right, as the target audience of the spongebob movie, nick should listen to us about what the spongebob movie should be about because we watched it when it was objectively better and aimed at a different generation
Well last night I watched "Good Burger" with my sister. The movie's a kids' movie based on an All That sketch, but it's clearly not meant exclusively for kids. My sister and I, both pretty much adults, laughed our asses off at pretty much every joke, and we probably would have when it first came out too. In those movies there are plenty of jokes that kids can laugh at, and they'll mostly understand the plot, but there's a whole other area of humor that the movie takes on for more grown-up audiences. Hell, even TV shows were like that, like Drake and Josh. That being said, I'm not gonna count my chickens before they hatch. Movies like that certainly still come out today and this movie could very well be one of them, although I can't really imagine more recent Nickelodeon sitcoms having as much appeal for adolescents. It's sort of moved more to a colorful, glorified depiction of high school for younger kids. It was like that before too, but now it's much more Disney about it. [sp]sorry for the rant it's midnight and chances are i contradicted myself a few times[/sp]
