I love The Ramones. I have the Weird Tales of The Ramones box set (not really a "box set" as it's more a book or something....I don't know what to call it).
I've always enjoyed punk, but all the bands I like thus far are the biggest ones around. I don't really know of any small(er) time bands that are good. It feels weird, almost like I'm a suckup or something because I only like the biggest bands. I like metal a lot more though, so I focus on that more, and so I do like some small time and indie metal bands. Can anyone refer me a great small time punk band, preferably an american band so that if I like them I can see them on tour?

Small time is kind of subjective, if they are gonna be extensively touring they're gonna be decently popular punk bands.

the crowd that comes out for the misfits is always the devoted fan base that fucking loves the misfits. and jerry only still puts on a damn good show. and it's two original members...jerry and robo. i've seen them every year in california around halloween since 2000, when they played the anaheim grove with DI, agent orange and marky ramone. fuck all of you.
this gives me more misfits credibility then anyone in this fucking thread.
