I'll admit this is the first time I'm hearing this album, I actually didn't even know it existed until you mentioned it but the lack of any songwriting skill is making my head hurt, not to mention the general lack of any talent whatsoever. Sure it sounds like good old hardcore but there are some noticeable differences like the fact that there is actually some skill in that and some consideration is given to songwriting. This... Well no.
Sure they didn't stick to their "roots" with later works but compared to this, you can't deny the amount of skill and improvement in songwriting from this to later works (e.g. The Decline).

I think it's great. Really.
I don't think punk in drublic is a "classic" it's okay, and so is I heard they suck live, it's decent, but most everything afterwards is unbearable.
