I know this isn't exactly real/wwII or anything but I was inspired by this thread to get back into photoshop a little!

There's a pattern for every country. The US loved to show off their soldiers, Nazi posters were more centered in the nationalist governement, etc.

Nazis may have been assholes and all, but the soldiers that fought for their party as members of the Wehrmacht[sp](I specify this because many of them weren't nazis and didn't fight for nazi ideals, but for their country etc)[/sp]had fucking awesome uniforms and looked awesome

except that is one of the shitty m42 helmets, which were simplified versions of the original m35 version. The difference is that the edges are folded outward and the vents are stamped in instead of welded on. Plus, most of them didn't have decals. An m35 helmet looked like this

Your absolutely right, not all of the German army during WW2 were Nazi's a good portion were just the regular German army, not fighting for Nazi ideals but just for the country. I hate how so few people realize this. And yeah, totally badass uniforms.

Not propaganda material, but i figured since it was used in 1945 and because i am not the only one here not posting propaganda, i might as well. Besides, i think it does look nice. And it's nice to also show stuff like that because you don't expect posters like that just after the war.

My grandmother still owns original issues of the Germany-funded propaganda magazine called [B]Signal[/B]. It's full of these kind of things.

Its not that black and white my friend, The nazi's were the political party controlling the country yes, but that doesn't mean that everybody in the country was a nazi, some of the people, and the regular German army, just wanted to keep there culture alive, if that meant fighting along side the Nazi's then so be it.
