Am I Gold? [editline]12:57PM[/editline] I'm not, damnit. [editline]12:58PM[/editline] But if my timing is right, I should get gold in about a few months.
Meh, not a big deal tbh.
Gold member isn't special anymore :(.
Shit just hit the fan.
Does Garry actually plan on keeping the requirements like this?

I just have to wait a couple of years.
Don't worry. It's nothing special... anymore.
I sure wish my account wasn't banned so I can see the shitstorm brewing up in the Gold forum. What's it like guys? Are all the oldskool golds pissed?

It's mostly us new guys posting in threads and oldies saying RIP etc.
The goldmember steam group will be bigger now ha ha http://steamcommunity.com/groups/goldmembers
So anyone who was a member of the site from 2006 to when the site started is eligible for GM? Isn't that kind of ruining the novelty of gold membership?
Shame. I'm such a huge lurker, almost every day I get coffee and read every thread in news, gd, and games.

You can gain gold member at anytime now, Garry has made an updater that searches for posters who meet the Join date requirement and the post requirement, and it runs every 20 minutes. So if you hit 2k posts and 2 years and you don't have gold, just wait a while.
Shame. The gold member forum is becoming the new OIFY is it?
Well, finally elitism is conquered.
Quiet 08er

Hopefully this feature will still be in place in May 2010
I, myself, find this a bad move. Oh well.
This is fairly interesting. I've got a good few months though. About 3 or so.
That is a nice surprise, thanks Garry.
Free self-esteem boosts for everyone!
Over two years registered and over 2000 posts.
I meet these and I am still not a gold member. :colbert:
