Just lost my cat last summer mayb thats why :(
Ahh i remember at school years ago we had to dissect a frog, and the guy had to blow the lungs with a pipe and the moron sucks it instead of blowing, some juicy lung stuff mmm.. had a good laugh.

Animal cruelty is against the rules, but this isn't exactly cruelty. It's already dead.
Barbecue comin' right up!
Oh man, right after I read this, my cat jumped on my desk and meowed at me, then hissed at the screen! O.O
I don't think I could make it past the first incision.
Why I can not and will not be a surgeon.
Kinda cool i couldn't do that
Why does this need to be a cat is my only question?
What ever happened to frogs? fuck frogs
[sp]in before obligatory getout[/sp]
Why a cat? We used sheep parts for detail and surely a mouse or frog would do fine for larger stuff like muscle structure and the such.
Where the hell do they get cats?
Dissected a frog and a goat's eye in a science class about 4 years ago.
Too bad I didn't take a High School anatomy class; I would have been able to dissect a baby pig.
Suddenly it occurs to me that the ban on nervous tissue dissection because of nasty diseases in some animals will have been what caused them to stop cutting up full bodies in non-private schools in the UK. Rather than 'going soft' as a million angry conservatives will shout at you.
Quite an interesting post, despite it feeling like I could actually smell the rotting flesh through my computer screen :barf:
Wait... 11th grade anatomy lets you dissect cats?
I've really never had that sort of thing in my school...
Interesting.

Before you bemoan the fate of poor mister kitty you've gotta know some places have plague proportions of cats both feral and domestic.
Don't sweat it too much, If their being shipped to schools they were probably painlessly put to sleep.
the only thing I've ever dissected was a pig eye and heart. I can hardly imagine myself dissecting a fucking cat.
But this was a great thread
I am jealous. I would have loved to do this, I find things like this really interesting. :saddowns:
I had to puke at the last image
I dissected a frog in 7th grade, a baby pig in 9th, and next year I'll be dissecting a handful of different animals eyes and brains.
Thought I'd actually look at these pictures now, they're not that bad, more fascinating then anything.
Most I ever got to dissect at school was a pig's eye.
Not as disgusting as I thought it would be, kind of interesting really.

Population control.
What the fuck happened to dissecting frogs?
Was expecting another video of a kid torturing cats.
Pretty cool though.
I'm glad people liked this thread, I'm going to be adding more to it as we keep going, but I also have many more images of different parts of the body. If anyone would like me to post them just let me know
I was hesitant to click the pictures, but they really weren't bad at all, and they didn't even look real. Interesting read, I hope to see more.
Well it's not that disgusting. Infact it looks pretty cool.
Even though I did the exact same thing for class a year ago, looking at these pictures still doesn't settle right to me.

In fact it seems more disturbing, I don't even know why.
Eeeeeeugh. Now I know what cat Barney was talking about.
Lovely.
Pretty interesting stuff. Only thing I ever got to dissect was a fish - pretty interesting though because fish have a couple of organs that other creatures don't have, and it's cool finding out what they do.
that is interesting, gave them a good watch for curiosity
