CRASH was actually based on a real LAPD crime unit, apparently they were pretty much scumbags IRL as well.
Glad to see you're keeping up your standard of excellent video quality.
One thing of note is that the annotations for your channel and a few of your videos seem to come up too early, roughly around the 18:20 mark.
You do know you can turn that off in the menu, right? I've been running SA on pc on my 144hz with no problems.
You simply haven't noticed them yet. The physics, among other things, gets messed up.
For instance, drive a car and let go of the gas. Notice those skidmarks it makes for no apparent reason? This also causes the cars to have a noticeably reduced top speed and acceleration, which can actually render some time-based missions impossible, or at least way harder than they're supposed to be
As long as you don't go above ~60 FPS things are fine, though

Yeah I ended up seeing that a little later. In fact, it has the EXACT SAME NAME as the one in SA, which is pretty fuckin' ballsy. The guy that shows up when I mention racism and police brutality was the dude they based Tenpenny off of. Real life fuckin scum, extorted many black teens and adults into doing horrible things that ensured he keep his job and that he gets a lot of drug money.
Lol first thing I thought was that this video could have been twice as long, and I would have been okay with it. Work on the timing of the jokes just a tad bit and it will be perfect.
Also make these faster damnit I want to watch more.
these videos are so fucking good at explaining why these games are great to people who just don't get it.
This is your best video so far... makes me wanna play San Andreas again.
i wish i could've been a part of that crowd when it was big. by the time i had any sort of gaming pc, it was already years after the community was more or less gone. at least the majority was. all i found was a bunch of weird russian servers
MTA is at peak right now. I am one of the main MTA forum and IRC mods. Our player numbers are around 500k unique players monthly. It's been a while since I stat checked but it still gets upwards of 18,000 concurrent peak daily. I think close to 100k unique per day.

I seriously didn't know that. Maybe when I get a rig I'll check it out, sounds like fun. I just don't know anything about your guys' servers so I wouldn't know what to do :v:
flying with a keyboard in sa is a nightmare dude. i mean, you gotta use the numpad, but even that sometimes barely even works? the fact that there is abysmal controller support is really the killer for me
huh? i never, ever had any problems with it. you don't have to use the numpad either? just WASD and Q + E for turning left and right
God damn this is good, I like this video.
It made me realise how...disappointed I am actually with GTA5.
I played it for some time but I pretty much just paid £40 for the story.
Something about SA was the shit.
I wish they'd add more to GTA5. Heck, if they went as far as adding another island...
Nah that'd make too much sense!!
No if they did make another GTA game they'd have to make it even bigger, I think they'd have to make it feel bigger too.
It's always refreshing to watch your videos dude, finally someone who can make an entertaining review of a good game, not just "oh woow, this is so bad it's hilarious"
keep up the good shit pgunni, love ya <3
Are you one of those people who can't complete the rc helicopter bomb mission in vice city pc?
i couldnt beat those on console when i was younger let alone pc
great improvement in every way with this video, very well done

fuller, not bigger
Great video mate. Honestly. Improved so much since your first video.
How you don't have a million subscribers is a mystery to me.
If Jinx can get one million subs without talent then I'm convinced that fucker uses sub bots.
This hit me right into my nostalgia of playing San Andreas when I was young and had it on my PS2.
I always loved the mission where you had to infiltrate the military base and get the jetpack.
Really funny video, this might be your best one yet.
You deserve to get a lot more views.
Your overwhelming enthusiasm has won over yet another subscriber.
The fucking dirt bike minigame was so difficult, but it was fun.
I wish we had something like that in GTA 5.
WHOA this thread got bumped after it fell to the bottom, that's p insane. Thanks so much to everyone who said it improved!! That's always a goal when I make a new video. Each time I make a video, I find myself watching the previous ones and looking at areas that seemed wonky or can be improved, OR to see what I did right and what was really outstanding to me. I adopt all of that to make the next video the best that it can be. Whether it be timing it better, making it smoother, and making it all blend. So it's nice to see that the effort was all worth it.
I know I take a long time to make these, but the truth is simply that I'm mostly working a part/full-time job, so making time to work on this and see my friends has been a little hectic. That's actually not a complaint though, I like the balance - it keeps me pretty busy and active and I always have something to do so my life doesn't feel like an endless void of laying down and staring at the ceiling. So thanks so much for showing your appreciation guys, it really is cool. Knowing that I do all that and I can express myself from my core creatively while entertaining people is such a nice feeling, and you guys have made that possible. I literally owe that feeling to everyone in this thread.
If I can make this bigger, then I will. I've gotten so many comments that this project/channel/identity should be so much bigger that I'm starting to think it can actually happen, and that's exciting. It's slowly becoming less and less of a pipe dream, and more of a potential reality. All I'm really asking for in that regard is just to get the word out. If I can keep doing that with everyone's help, then I think it can happen. No matter what though, you guys have done more than enough for someone like me. I never really saw anyone being interested in anything I did, especially on a scale like YouTube. So again, thanks for proving me wrong.

Don't worry about speed. Only worry about enjoying what you do. That way no matter what happens you won't regret it and your videos will keep their natural enthusiasm.
San Andreas is easily my favorite GTA.
GTA 5 is a near perfect game and technically better than San Andreas, but it doesn't have as much of a video game-y charm for me, personally.
Definitely wouldn't call GTA V near perfect man
The writing is what bothers me the most, and I'm not just talking about the anti climatic ending (I only picked option C which was [sp]"let's kill that FIB agent and two guys that only appear in two missions because we forgot to develop any other villain characters"[/sp])
A lot of dialogue is really heavy handed. Which worked better for SA, maybe because the satire was much stronger there, whereas V came off as walking the line between being a cynical, realistic parody and a wacky, over the top caricature. SA was definitely more of the latter, so a lack of subtlety was no problem, but it worked against V's style imo.
"Maybe me and your dad are good together, like we can do things that we couldn't do separate" - actual line of dialogue from Franklin, totally not hinting at the two teaming up

they tried mixing the styles of gta 4 and SA and it came out kind of weird
I feel like GTAV was a step back in the right direction.
GTA needs to be kinda goofy, it just comes with the territory.
Except, i miss the islands and the bridge blockades. Fight me. I like accomplishing things.
10/10 video by the way, i busted five whole guts.

they're in a tough spot because they tried something new with IV, and some people (including me) loved the gritty style
don't get me wrong i like the wackier stuff as much as the next guy, but it was nice to see them change it up a little. what sucks now is that they'll probably keep trying to find a middle ground which may or may not end up disappointing in both fronts

Yeah but personally, what i loved about GTA IV's gameplay was the wacky shit you could do as a result of it. Mostly physics based.
Fuck the car handling though oh my god.
[editline]3rd October 2015[/editline]
I replayed GTA IV a few months ago and holy fuck those car controls are absolute dog shit.

Gotaa agree here. GTA V really broght back the GTA. IV was jnteresting, but if you ask me it was more a product of it's time - it tried to be flashy and modern and gritty, in a time where that was all brand new and actually possible. However it ended up feeling just kinda boring. Way more emphasis on the guns and less on the action. For example, most of the missions in Vice City and San Andreas simply would NOT fit in IV. That's what GTA V changed. The scale and ridiculousness was really brought back and refined into something insane. I've NEVER seen such a profound amount of detail in a game, and I really mean that. It's pretty mind-blowing how polished that game is. The animations really get me - nothing is shortcutted. Everything is accounted for and no situation really looks duct-taped together like it did in every game before it.

is there a source for that mspaint arthur picture towards the beginning?

idk, i really really liked it. yeah i know it's all subjective, but to me it felt more like a slow action movie, less videogame-y than the others. i was almost focusing on the characters and the world they built up more than on the gameplay at some points, like, it kept me just as interested as the other GTAs but in a different way

This would all be fine if it weren't called GTA, a series associated with at least a certain level of ridiculousness :v:
Personally, it was agonizing to play IV at some points. Just because most of the missions were driving. Sometimes it would change by having you drive carefully. The story progressed almost at the speed of real fucking life, every time I thought I was nearing the end, someone crucial would be introduced with their own string of missions.
