I'd love to know what college this is. [editline]5th January 2011[/editline]
I have wondered if it was an ok book, it can't be too horrible if it's so popular, you guys are just jumping on the bandwagon. This is a logical opinion so think what you want.
it's written so horribly just pick up a copy at your local middle school library and flip to a random page
Professors a genius. IF he gets a decently hot looking girl that's obsessed with Twilight, he can seduce with Twilight knowledge and screw her, then give her an A.
What? That sounds perfectly logical, They'll give you something classic, Like 'Of Mice and Men' then they'll put it next to twilight, to better show how to write a good, timeless book.
:eng101: [editline]5th January 2011[/editline] come on, if you're gonna pull a classic literature joke you might as well get the name right
I don't think a single person in this thread has ever read the book. Maybe it's okay. Regardless of the dumb version of vampires, lack of comedic relief, and... okay, it's going to suck.
Twilight sucks

I heard the last book is full of comic relief
It's probably Popular Literature or something that analyzes how the book compares to modern culture (and why).
leave your college immediately LEAVE THE COUNTRY
You have to read a book you dislike for class? Wow big fucking deal.
Just consider yourself lucky that at least one of your required books has a movie version.
It's for Vamp27, history of Vampires.
I heard the last book is full of comic relief
It's terrible right to the end. Don't ask, just rate gaybows.
It must be so students can accurately study what is known as absolute shit literature. On a different note, if for some reason you're going to watch the movie Twilight, watch the Rifftrax version. It's the only way to tolerate the horrific screenwriting.
Reminded me of this:
It's for Vamp27, history of Vampires.
But Twilight is about pixies...
But Twilight is about pixies...
I thought it was about effeminate douchebags who coat themselves in glitter. Wait, same thing.
Reminded me of this: [img_thumb]http://blogs.sfweekly.com/thesnitch/rsz_bush_as_crime.jpg[/img_thumb]
Whenever I go to a library I always put the bibles in the fantasy section.
It's not a writing class. It's a seminar, one of those classes that focuses on a single subject, such as a certain person, event, book, issue, etc. It just so happens that Twilight's the focus of this particular class.
I actually heard about a seminar like this on NPR. It was about vampires and why we're so fascinated by them. It goes from early vampires, to Dracula/Nosferatu, to sparkly vampires. It was mostly about sexualizing them though.
Whenever I go to a library I always put the bibles in the fantasy section.
You're just a badass
Whenever I go to a library I always put the bibles in the fantasy section.
~rebel~
It shows not many people are of college age here. When a book like that is required, it just means it is required reading material. The literature professor probably has a lesson plan set up around it. It might be required for a creative writing class. Who knows. It isn't going to be used as a required Textbook to teach pre-veterinary students the anatomy of werewolves or anything.
Whenever I go to a library I always put the bibles in the fantasy section.
... :golfclap:
Who cares? Its just a book?
The books aren't that bad. Reading them won't immediately cause a brain hemorrhage, but there will be pain. The movies cause instant death.
Perhaps it's for bodyguard class, you have to learn to prepare for the worst
Class being "Terrible Literature of the 21st Century"
Perhaps it's for bodyguard class, you have to learn to prepare for the worst
Yeah the books are so thick that they can stop bullets.
