Those bikes are pretty rust proof, and it's probably because there are too many bikes in the shed, there are more bikes than people in the Netherlands.
The gearbox is a sturmy-archer style hub gearbox, pretty much bomb proof. Also, is that a lotus 25 in your avatar?

I'm quite sure it is, Jim Clark behind the wheel.

Recognised it from the aerofoil shaped suspension strut. It's a really great piece of footage, second favourite driver from F1.
My dad's friend who used to be a mechanic for 7 years and knows a thing or two about vespas came to check it today.
Broken carb, malfunctioning spark plug, broken radiator, malfunctioning radiator. Wow.
Riding long distances on a 50cc isn't all that bad:

Rode 200 miles in total to my airfield and back. I managed to break my speedo though when I went off-road :v:
riding long distances on 50cc is the worst thing ever, unless the roads are very twisty
I suppose A-road drivers hate me for only being able to go the speed limit, but it does the job until I get my SV650. It's fun once I get out of London onto the twisties.
took my honda shadow for a ride. went to the dealer to buy stuff to change the oil. they had a bike for 9k that i think is a contender to the other bike i want.
i have bigger bike fever lol
stryker the one i saw at the Honda/Yamaha shop, i really like it.

The Triumph Sprint. Their bikes are always sexy, just like some other company sharing the name. :perv: Anyway, sports cruiser equals to long distance comfort plus fun times on wavy roads, definitely an instant choice for me!
The other bike's pretty good looking too, though I don't think I recognise the model. (EDIT: Ah, it's a Yamaha Styker. Sorry, really bad reading on my part heh)

Sorry to hear that. How much did you buy it for? Better send a "kind" note to the seller if you think you overpaid. Ugh.

Brand new it costs about $3500. Bought it for $1500. Called the dealer (bought it from a famous motorcycle restroration shop). He is going to send me the parts for free. Well the bike only had 400miles to it and from what I see, it looks like it has been used for racing.
I got a chance to get some newer pic's of my bike;

been getting a 1981 HONDA CM400E back to road worthy, replace all bearings, chain, cleaned the carbs, got all lights to work, replaced pepcock for fuel, tires are about 5 years old. need a battery, changed the oil and cleaned the gas tank. it fired right up using a booster pack for a battery. the old vtwin hums nice.
i am in dire need of a front brake cable for the front drum brakes. it seems to be discontinued from honda. i measured it to be 54.25 inches long

What kind of bike is it? I'm not very good at this.
Honda XL250 Degree
I would ride the shit out of that. I want so badly an enduro/supermoto
aye, i did want an enduro style but that bike was too too good to refuse. plus it doesn't too too far off with the new front fender i fitted, and it goes like stink so i'm all for it :P
If I were you I'd take the Monster-stickers off. They just look silly :p
I know xD But im afraid they won't come off right and it will look even more stupid :S

I like the Sprint ST better. The GT is more practical, but I generally dislike side exhausts even when they don't look horribly ugly and out of place, let alone when they do as on the GT.
I've actually been drooling after the Sprint ST myself, but I just don't have the disposable income to afford it.
I though the st stopped in 09 though. I Am also looking for a 2 uP with some fun.
Wikipedia doesn't list an end-of-production year, so I think the ST is still in production. Wouldn't bet my life on it though. In any case, one could still get one second hand, or maybe even new-old-stock - they didn't exactly sell like cupcakes.
I wish I could adapt the exhaust and seat structure of a ST onto a GT. The GT is definitely the most practical of the two.
Triumph website only shows the GT for 2011 and 2012.
I'm very tempted to build a Royal Enfield 350 bullet cafe racer over summer, as the parts and bike are cheap.
1:25 is amazing.

Great, embedding disabled. Oh well.
that video is awesome
How often do you guys check your air pressure? I do mine just about before every trip.
I'd just love a ruckus, but with no license its kinda impossible.
So I just finished the safety course this afternoon. Passed with 3/21 points (lower is better). Now to wait until my birthday so I don't have to hold a permit for 6 months before I can upgrade it to a license. :D
