So I just finished the safety course this afternoon. Passed with 3/21 points (lower is better). Now to wait until my birthday so I don't have to hold a permit for 6 months before I can upgrade it to a license. :D
Congrats, I'm still riding licenseless but the authorities dont mind. Even if I get caught they would just tell me to go home.
Woo. Just sold my pitbike. Time to order a nice new pair of SIDIs.
I was looking at getting a CBR125, but my friend had owned a Ruckus prior to moving here. He said that the ruckus was fantastic which makes me wonder if that is the bike for me. Does anyone here own one?
I'd go for the CBR. Manual, has that real motorcycle feeling. Lightweight, fun in turns. [editline]19th March 2012[/editline] And i honestly think the ruckus looks godawful.
I'd get a Ruckus as a pit bike but not for anything on the road.
Alright guys, question to fellow UK bikers. Well I passed my car theory test a few years ago, booked my bike theory test 2 weeks from now, was just wondering. Has the bike theory/harzard perception test changed in recent years? If not hopefully i can get it boxed off and booking my Module 1 soon after.
I think if my commute didn't involve a highway I'd love a ruckus.
I had a dream where I owned a 1000cc Ninja and my girlfriend has one too. We wore matching helmets and leathers.
Oh god I did the dumbest thing ever, I was revving the engine at neutral preparing to shift to first gear. I forgot to step on the brakes when I shifted. 3 meter wheelie on a bloody Vespa lol.
a vespa can wheelie wow found out today my grandfather wants to give me the 1981 honda cm400e we have been getting road worthy. drove it for 10 miles today., has a slight stumble down low but runs great above that. i have been riding his 06 shadow 600 since he layed it over and was scared of it. i guess he wants it back. here is a pic
a vespa can wheelie wow
Almost scared me to death, probably because of the short wheelbase or something, also the new carburetor have some oomph to it seems like its pumping more gas that its supposed to causing the engine to get silly fast. Getting ready for the upcoming riding season. Can't wait!!! Ordered me some boots & gloves! Might also buy a new helmet if i can magically summon more money out of somewhere. I've got a pair of A* SP-2s and they're amazing. If I could I'd wear them everywhere.
Riding season sounds fun, we have big bikes convoy here which rides from the north of Borneo, all the way to the south and back. Cant wait till I get a big bike and join them. They also take their bikes and onto the famous Sepang F1 Track which is in another state, on another island. I wish I could that someday.
take your scooter onto sepang set a new record lap time
The ex-owner actually took it there. I don't know the record time though.
Found an awesome place to mess around today:
Where 'bouts? Looks like a good place for practising wheelies :v:
Met with a group of big riders today. Instantly fell in love with Kawasakis. ZX-6s, ER-6s, a couple of the looked like a Z750, couple of 1000CC Ninjas and another two ZX-14. Most of them had some other custom exhaust pipes and they sound like the angels of motorbikes. There were also BMW R1200 and F800. Man they were awesome.
Where 'bouts? Looks like a good place for practising wheelies :v:
This entire area. Yeah it is awesome for wheelie practice, wanna play around there next weekend?
Last year I almost bought a Er-6n. The insurance was outrageous at 125 a month for me. That is the only reason I didn't get it.
