Speaking of Triumph, found one that has been laid over a few times and needs new forks/handlebars for $300. Rest fo the bike seems sound excapt the fairings (as you can imagine, a bit scraped). I kinda want it.
Any man worth his grit will get at least one raging motorboner for a Triumph.
if its the 1800 v-twin, they sound amazing. just change for straight pipes. styling wise its ok, it just looks like its missing something
That's what makes me "not know if want." Something is just awfully designed/missing, I just can't place it.

Do not know if want.
From what I've heard it's made mostly of cheap-feeling plastic, and has some disappointing details, like the fuckhuge speedometer in the middle of your sight, etc.
If its anything like the Honda VTX1800s, most of the silver/chrome is plastic One time I washed dads bike for him and I didn't realise until I was cleaning it that most of its plastic.

I saw one that was fuc... wait no I'm thinking of the NRX 1800. Cruisers aren't my thing normally but fuck I want one now. Shame they are fairly rare in the UK and expensive too. Plus I would shit myself going into the gentlest of corners with that leviathan under me.
Don't get any of those bikes for your first one. Get something from the late 90's that's about 500cc to 750cc.
Really now? I kind of thought that I wouldn't really be able to hold my own with any of those bikes, but that's only because people have said I wouldn't be able to, what reasons specifically would prevent me from riding them? Besides the fact that the Ducati would make me its bitch. (Speaking of which, I'm headin' down to Lexington for the Diavel unveiling :v:) @jimholwl33t: Dem curves... [editline]24th March 2011[/editline] Disappointment is brought into the physical relm by the Nighthawk; that thing made me loose respect for Honda (or whatever respect I had for the company in the first place), from an asthetic perspective at least.

I see so many honda shadows for sale, cheap as hell yo.
Shadows are a bit weedy, Yamaha drag-stars are where its at. Mines only a 125 but more than enough for what i use it for.
i wish i had a mc
If I get off work early tomorrow I'm going to test ride a Triumph Speed Triple & a Ducati Streetfighter. The Triumph will be cheaper but the Ducati is so fucking nice. I need to check what multi-bike insurance policies are like price wise too. I also promised myself I would save up money for a deposit on a house but that's so boring. and What do you guys think? Italian soul (and breakdowns, high price etc) or the British Bruiser?
Gone the way of all good things formerly on motorcycles :smith:
Just love the satisfying feeling in the morning when the bike starts up on the first or second kick, it's so, arousing
Hey guys, just got back from the Diavel unveiling! Got to sit on it and it fit like a glove, no lie, was expecting it to be uncomfortable and that it would require me to fake liking it, but it was quite the opposite. I think I left stains near the front of that seat... Also saw the VMAX, a good handful of Triumphs (consdering one, haha, for only 8k it's hard to beat), VStar, Shadow (didn't quite like it that much in person, the VStar and Thruxton beat it by far), Tiger, Sabre, Streetfighter, and Monster. Also, let it be known that I would give myself to the Diavel.
You guys are making me wish I had not sold my bike :arghfist::saddowns: If only the registration for >400cc bikes didn't cost 600$ a year.
First of all, I would love those pictures and sketches. Second of all, carburetor's not a bad idea. No idea how to run these calculations, however. I assume a sacrifice is used.
Any progress man?
I've wanted a bike for the past few years, ever since my dad told me stories about how he used to ride. Probably gonna actually take a step closer to bike life in a month or two by taking the MSF course. Had a chance to buy this SV650 last year (guy was selling it for 4 grand): but ended up skipping it because I was thinking of financial business pertaining to college. Plus, I didn't (and still don't) have a motorcycle endorsement.
Does this seem like a scam to you guys? Really low price, really low miles. Also, the pics are of a blue bike but the ad says something about charcoal? And it says texas title. The ad seems pretty legit, and i'm pretty good at spotting scam craigslist posts. http://orlando.craigslist.org/tid/2282844994.html [editline]27th March 2011[/editline] another thing, it says oil has been changed every 2000 miles, but there's only 2,500 miles on it?
Guy says he'll run a check on the vin for you.... I don't see what it could hurt. Seems legit to me but as with you, I'm still a bit skeptical because of the oil change thing and the low ass price.
Obviously you wouldn't drive in snow or on ice. On days where the ground conditions permit is what I was referring to.
I drove my moped pretty much all winter, with normal tyres. Still loses grip when doing 60+km/h in 6th gear

Maybe he missed a zero?

Only picture I can find of it; it was pretty dirty at the time though. Only cleanish picture I have the back wheel is off for some reason. I have no idea why i was taking pictures of it like that. I say killed it but I think someone bought it and fixed it up.

A stunt or track bike, Something tells me this bike has seen the redline quite a few times. As well as the fact the posting is in orlando, He says he has a Texas Title, And he said in the post the bike was charcoal and in the pictures is clearly blue.
Took my ninja to work last night. Ended up riding back this morning... in the snow. Not so fun.
Anyone got recommendations for something to wash the shite off my wheels? Because they're back and I'm lazy I haven't done them for around 6000 miles and now I can't get that shit off. I've just been using car/bike shampoo on them, and I think I need to invest on some specialist degreaser, but I'm not sure what's good and also what's overpriced but doesn't deliver.

DO NOT USE WHEEL SHINE. It may make your wheel look good but it will make it very very slick and is very dangerous around corners.
I'm excited, my motorcycle is almost back to being ridable. Right now, I'm just waiting for a new tube and tire in the mail :downs:
