I thought those laws came in 1th of January, but whatever. Just do it man! Bike license now shouldn't be too expensive compared to next year. I'm currently on my 5th lesson and loving it. AVB isn't as hard as it looks and AVD is like riding a moped but waaaay faster and bigger.
Gotta get the theory course first. Shouldn't take too long, as I just have to partially refresh my dormant scooter theory, and learn the rest in a jiffy. I am a very careful driver though, perhaps overly careful. I barely lean in corners with my DNA due to fear of slipping. Could also be due to the fact I don't trust my tires; they're as hard as stone, and probably will bail out on me if I push them in any type of slightly unfavorable conditions.
If you've got a car license you can start right away. They like to see some speed and some lean though. Might want to put new tires on your scooter anyway. But yeah, do it; you'll be saving bucketloads of money in the long run.
Tires that are rock hard and slippery as fuck don't give much confidence when they're a deathtrap, no. Imma visit a driving school today and weigh my options, thanks :v:
Yeah I know that feel, when I bought my moped there where tires on it from 1997 or something, rock hard and slippery as fuck, now I regularly get the pegs on the ground.
Cock. I've totally forgotten that I am supposed to take my test a month ago. Hope I don't have to re-enroll for theory again.
I'll maybe be getting the required course for getting a class A1 (motorcycle < 126cc) license this wednesday. I spoke to a driving school today, and he said he only had a couple of students (two or three including me), so I'll probably get to drive often (or at least I hope so) and if I'm lucky, I'll be able to take the test this october, and then I can maybe ride around for a little bit, and then start riding on the first spring day next year. Btw, how could you forget to take your theoretic test? It was constantly on my mind after I heard I could take it.
Was too busy with school exams. They decided to set the date right at the last moment so I was too busy studying to even notice that I have another exam.
Ah, well then you're excused. Luckily for me, in Norway you can just drop-in at a Traffic station and take the test, no need to have done any courses or whatever (unless you're getting a moped license, then you have to be 16 and have done a moped course).
Got my license the other day, the whole process in the US is just so easy. 8/5 Take twenty five question written test: must score 21 of 25 8/22 Take five minute riding test: must wear boots that cover ankles and be on vehicle 50CC or more. Don't remember the exact model moped I used as it was a friend's but it was pretty much this. Total cost: four US dollars Cost of insurance: don't need no insurance Here's the test Any questions?
I used to ride dirt bikes with friends and we only did strict trail riding. I had my dad buy me a KTM 300MXC when I was 14 and I rode that thing like a maniac. I was 6' at the time, so I fit well on it. I sold it when the water pump cracked and I didn't want to fork over $200 or something. It was also pretty old. I'm thinking of selling my Gibson SG guitar, an amp, and a pedal and putting the money towards a 250 or 450 depending on what I find. There's a YZ426 that's for sale. The owner claims it turned over on the 2nd kick last month, but he let it sit and now it won't turnover (carb cleaning). I'm extremely sure that's bullshit, because usually it's an excuse for a bigger problem. Lol, cracked cylinder? just needs a carb cleaning There's another YZ426 that's for sale and it's more expensive, but it has the problem my mxc had. Cracked waterpump. It looks like it can be fixed, but I don't know how to weld or anything, so it might be out of the question. There's a third YZ426 that just needs a water gasket, otherwise it leaks and will lose half of it's water in 8 hours of riding. It runs fine though, and it was well taken care of. There's also a CR250 that I'm interested in because it's in good shape. 2001 model. HELP FACEPUNCH!!! They're all under $1000, so the Yamahas are all 2000-2002 and the CR is 2001.

It had the older more powerful engine and the newer, better Gen2 aluminum frame. Not only is it one of the best 2-strokes that you can buy, it is also easy and cheap to repair and maintain.
I would kill for a street-legal CR500. Those things are silly powerful.
These bike are the authentic "Screamer".
So I saw my teacher had a "special" t-shirt on today: it had a picture of a grenade and the text "motorcycle repair kit", implying that motorcycles should be blown up or something like that. Kind of like this one, just with inverted colors and without the "japanese" part (I still don't like it, getting a Yamaha soon): [thumb]http://www.topbananagifts.co.uk/images/large/jmrkts.jpg[/thumb]

I'm planning on doing that when I hit 18 so I don't have to ride on a learners permit for a while. Luckily, I turn 18 on Sept. 19th this year!

The headlight makes it look like its one of those BMW bikes. But then it is a BMW headlight after all.
Guess who goes to pick up their first actual street legal motorcycle ever Sunday? This guy!
Guess who goes to pick up a new regulator for his ZXR tomorrow :(
Guess who's gonna part out his GS? I just want to buy an SV or something. This GS is a pain and I'm sick of it even when I only got to ride it for a month.
Another shit photo.
I'm real jealous. I can't wait for my new bike.
Guess who goes to pick up their first actual street legal motorcycle ever Sunday? This guy!
I gotta wait till wednesday, the wait is killing me.
I gotta wait till wednesday, the wait is killing me.
That sucks I gotta go get it in the morning.
I gotta wait till wednesday, the wait is killing me.
I gotta wait untill the 20th of september, but I can't drive it on my own untill the 4th of October, unless I fail my test, in which I can't drive untill spring.
GS500 is running again. Has some problems, but she ran for about 20 seconds, which is the longest she's run since mid-December.
Yes my bike is now in my drive way! A 1982 enduro Yamaha 250. Clean was $450 but I got it for $300 I love it, it's just the right size for my lanky ass. Needs carb work maybe and a few other things.
