This bike just popped up on my radar as one that I might want to get when I come back to the states. 2013 Honda CB 1100. Classic CB look, modern parts. It looks really nice.

I like the retro styling on it. Good job honda.
Dirt bikes? Wut?
This is a dual-sport (Keep in mind that the term dual-sport seems kinda broad):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Varadero
'Dual-sport' is VERY broad.
'Adventure Tourer' is usually used for the larger bikes like the Varadero, V-Strom, 1150/1200GS, F800GS, Super Tenere/Tenere, etc.
'Dual-sport' is generally used for the DR650, KLR650, XR/XL 600/650L, XT600, etc. but there are the larger 'enduro' bikes like the XR650R and KLX650 that are quite often used as dual-sports.
Then the smaller capacity (~250cc) bikes are generally either, or a cross between, enduro (WR250f, DRz400e), trailbike (WR250r,TTR250) or dual-sport (XT250/225).
Of course, I only mentioned Jap brands (and BMW) there, not any of the Euro/other brands such as KTM, Husqvarna, Husaberg, Beta, Ossa, etc. which all make something that can fall under the term 'dual-sport'.
There's something out there that'll be pretty much perfect for what ever mix of road/trail riding someone wants to do with minimal modification. It just depends on your preference and how much you're willing to spend :v:
Yeah, I just said Dual-sport because that was what Wikipedia said about the Varadero (which was the only adventure/touring bike I could come up with at the time. So I guess he really wants a adventure/touring or a cruiser.

Reminds me of my cm400. I like it.
Love the duel disks.
Anyone have any experience with plasti-dipping wheels on a motorcycle? Mine are pretty shitty and the white shows nicks and grease/oil easily so I was thinking about putting some black plasti-dip on them.
im looking for cold weather gear, mainly gloves at the moment, probably overpants next. Recommendations? My bike does not have a heated gear plug in unless i want to make one.

motorcycle superstore.
most of my stuff is first gear. i like it.
Passed my test :v:
Now I'm on an unrestricted license! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeee xD
Nice.
Finally ran my moped. Still thinking whether I should just continue my class for a restricted 250cc license or wait 2 years for an unrestricted.
I have loads of free time but I really feel lazy.

I'd take the panigale over the s1000rr. I don't even care if the s1000rr is faster, the panigale is such a mean looking and sounding machine. Bmw bikes feel so... Massproduced (as if ducatis weren't :v:)

Speaking of panigales, this is an amazing read

Just finished reading all 71 pages.
Omg that is both awesome and great.
I've been planning a solo trip like that on my old bike. Working out its kinks first.
I wish I had a bike to do something like that on. After actually having my bike on the highways, I hate it. It's fun as hell on backroads, but just cruising on the highway is a lesson in wind resistance.

Oh my, that's a beautiful car. What is it?
I think it's a Holden Commodore
I took the lower fairings and side covers off my bike. I actually think the bike looks better without the lower fairings. I also washed/waxed the bike, cleaned/lubed the chain, and cleaned up the rims a little. Now I'm just waiting for the air filter and spark plug tool to arrive. There was a bunch of shit in the air box. The bike has been running perfectly fine though so this is mainly just preventative maintenance.

Will rejet my bike for winter and try some ride, without stud... Expecting bunch of crash unless im on snow or slush.
I used to do mad slides in 6th gear on my 50cc in the winter, so have fun

My dad had a buddy a couple years ago who hit the broad side of a honda civic going like 100+mph. He ended up in the back seat, broke nearly every bone in his body, and I think he lost a testicle. I believe they had to resuscitate him like 3 times on the way to the hospital, if I remember the story correctly.

Would u rejet richer? I.e. bigger jet?
I've Rejetted my old bike a few time. It has 4 jets. Need up one larger on them all.
Small was 72. Tried 75 and 78. Ended up at 75. 118 was the bigger jet. Went to 120.

I bought a Jd jetting kit, worth every penny for my ktm exc 525, setup will depend on my altitude and temps, the kit inlclude 2 needle, a few main jet and a diaphragm mod, my pilot jet is a #42 and should not be changed in most case.
