Well searchtempest.com is a multi-city craigslist search, which also pulls results from ebay, and a few other trader sites i believe.
damn crotch rockets

Also the reason I am going for a crotch rocket is because it a 250cc and it will be a starter bike, and from what I hear it is one of the best starter bikes.
Not even sure the Ninja 250 should be considered a crotch rocket IMO, it's so angular and pointy instead of sleek and streamlined like a regular crotch rocket.

If I got a bike I'd probably get a Honda Rebel. They're supposed to be pretty good first bikes, and I kinda like the look of a cruiser.

2011 Suzuki Boulevard looks pretty cool too.

Not sure I like how the front sits though.

Good luck reselling a rebel 250, I see them all the time on craigslist same poster over and over for two to three months trying to sell them before they give up and drop the price so low they are loosing a shitload of money.
Thats one thing to look for when buying a bike. Buy something that wont depreciate too much and will sell fairly easy. Ninja 250's sell fast and after about 5 years price remains steady. Older bikes such as cb 450's 300's and such will also sell pretty good considering a lot of people buy them to tinker or make cafe bikes. Or just buy them to make ugly ass chopper projects.
Looking in my area, all I can find on Craigslist is Dirtbikes, and ATV's. On that Cycletrader website Pretty much everything under $5,000 were Honda Rebels.
I did see an '11 Hayabusa for about $9k though.
I'm stuck with a moped till i turn 18, which is in 4 months. :argh:
I'll have to see about getting a big bike this summer tho, probably getting a car first.. Gonna save money up next winter :buddy: Been thinkin' bout buying a crashed sportsbike and building a streetfighter / nudebike of it during the winter.
Current rides:

I want an Aprilia RS so bad. :saddowns:

I saw a big fat black guy riding a busa today, his ass was hanging out, and his shirt was all up because of the wind, and i swear he never went below like third gear
I hate busas. They look horrible, and look even more horrible when people rice them.

:barf:
hayabusas can crank bro
shit, if they're going to pick bikes for the live action akira movie they'll probably be using re-kitted hayabusas

You can make them look good, but stock / horribly riced = :barf:

Oh god kill it with fire. Granted it probably has a fuck load of power w/ a turbo. It's just whoever made it has so sense of taste.
There are some fairly nice stock paint jobs around on the newer ones though, it's just the weird as fuck bulges around the back fairing let it down so much.
I'd like to tour on one though, that or a ZZR1400 (maybe the GTR1400).
Busas are like muscle cars. They are great in a straight line, but on turns its like trying to steer an aircraft carrier.
well thats what happens when you throw an engine the size of your average european economy car's engine on a bike
I kinda like the Busa myself, but my fav so far is this guy right here:

I've seen only one stretched and slammed sportbike that I've liked. I'll see if I can get a picture of it soon, it's one of my friend's. It may be that he runs it on the drag strips around here for extra cash, but it's not riced out like you normally see them.

My next door neighbor owns one of the local motorcycle stores and he has a candy red zx14. I get very jelly every time I hear him start it up.
I'm 6'6" (1.98 meter). Would I have a hard time finding a bike?
I'm 6'6" (1.98 meter). Would I have a hard time finding a bike?
Only if you're looking at small ones. The smaller sports bikes might be a bit cramped for you too.
My uncle has a honda verado or something like that; he's 6ft-ish and struggles with the size of it sometimes. He won't admit it to me that he got too big a bike though.
Theres a fashion for the big enduro BMW's here lately.. I think it was popularised by people copying Ewen McGregor in long way round. I find it hilarious watching the weekend wobblers who got one to look cool struggle with them. It's not a bad bike it's just people get them as their first bikes and struggle to balance them.
I think I have sorted out my plan for the summer.
ASAP get my provisional licence, do my CBT, find out how much it will cost to get me some leather gear and a helmet for protection then look for a Honda CG125 on ebay.
Hopefully I'll have enough money
A Kawasaki Vulcan has a pretty good bit of leg room, and you can find the ten year old models for pretty cheap, too.
Been getting so much rain here. Not one day has it been just only sunny. We get quarter sunny then pouring rain the rest of the day. Sucks for riding to work and such.
