looks so pretty in the snow.
Passed my both driving tests in one day and just got my endorsement!
imagine what it would be if it was a cheaper helmet.

Spending more on a helmet really only gets you niceties. Lighter, quieter, more comfortable, more features, better aerodynamics.
How much energy the foam absorbs is fairly standard across the board (in helmets that meet DOT, ECE, AS/NZ standards).
Oh, also he wasn't wearing the helmet when his head got smashed into the ground, he was holding it.
got the 77 gs400 runnign again but only one cyc. swapped plugs the firing cyc went with that plug.
so ordering new plugs today.
the seat is at a place getting redone.
we also swapped his lower bars for my old cm bars. his stock were too low for him

Bought a Drift Ghost today. Hopefully it'll be here some time next week and I'll be able to start recording some rides.

tell me how it performs, I was contemplating whether or not to get a DG or a gopro
I went over to my buddies house for his sons birthday today, and his brother has an oldish Yamaha bike parked in front of his house that he isn't riding. I kind of want it. I think it's a 650, just a cruiser not a rocket. I wouldn't mind having it as a commuter when the weather is nice.
a 650 is a rocket enough.
It's a Yamaha V star, just looked it up. Don't know what year, or really anything about it.

He doesn't ride it because it's "slow". :v:
And heavy
After nearly 2k miles on my GS500 in a few months, I'm really curious as to what reasoning people give for a bike being too slow. I mean, I've done some riding on my GS that makes my butthole pucker despite it putting out about 50 horses at the crank.
Now, I can understand saying it doesn't have enough power, but that's different than slow. There have been many times on my GS where I would've liked to get up to speed a bit faster or have the torque down low to pass some people on backroads without wringing the engine out. However, I doubt the V-Star is the same in that regard compared to my GS.
sport/standard vs cruiser I guess. I can't see anybody needing anything bigger than a 650 on a rocket, but the cruisers that are heavier I dont see a problem with the bigger ones. Just dont be a tiny weak man or woman riding a 1400cc harley and not even be able to pick it up if it ever drops.

The trick to picking up heavy bikes is to put your back against the seat, grab the handlebar and the tail end and extend your legs. So you are facing away from the seat in dropped direction. Works with any bike as long as you're not 4'2 and 70 lbs

fixed my cracked fairing
will post finished product tomorrow.
had to take the painters tape off and fill in the cracks from the other side. I sanded a little and it looks better than before, the functionality of no crack is back at least.

The only bike I want
its from 2010 too!
Rear brake line burst today. That's what I get for not replacing it with the front a few months ago.
HEL stainless line is ordered, though.
Or you could check your brakes once in a while. According to my rider's test book, the rear brake should be able to handle you almost standing on it, or about 100 kg/cm2.
It was working fine on the ride I just got home from. I'm assuming now that it hadn't been replaced in the 20 years the bike has been around.
And even if I "tested" it, it would've broken and I'd be in the same situation that I am now lol

I rode my moped 1.5 years without a rear brake, even in the winter
You rather not have to do an emergency braking at high speed with front brake.
Got the fairing back on today, woo!

My rear brakes lock up easy. Most of the time I don't use then.

I'd recommend using them more to get a feel for when they lock up. That way when you need them you don't do that.

Put almost 30k miles on the bike. If u slam the front brakes the rear gets light and under the slightest push it wants to lock up
I'm not saying I can't threshold brake the rear and I do. But after a few tests it don't help my shadow slow down much. I think it was a two foot difference.
its a moped lol
hey it did ~45mph!
the back brake on my moped does nothing, I occasionally use it to keep me from rolling away at a set of lights but that's about it
mine can pull about 40-45mph on a straight, I've had it off the clocks down hill before (the speedo stops at 50mph :v:)
Got my Drift Ghost today. Will take some footage tomorrow if I can tape up my rear brake line.
