It's real nice and sunny here everyday. Too bad i've got 4 months 'till getting a motorcycle license :suicide:
In PA you can get a permit with an easy test for 10 bucks. You aren't supposed to ride with a passenger or without a helmet or at night but I would never not wear a helmet and I still ride at night. My girlfriend comes on rides with me some times too. And for getting the license all you have to do is take a free three day safety course that the state offers. Not bad at all.
I am currently based in the UK and only have a 50cc at the moment. I must say however it is a manuverable, fast and reliable little bugger. :v:
It can reach around 55mph comfortably and just over 60mph when completely flat out
Its a 2008 Peugeot XR6, mine is completely blue instead of having black bits.

I was thinking about soon getting hold of a Honda VFR 400 after I do my test, both to get used to having a bigger bike and to have something I can practice on a bit before getting a more expensive bike.
I must say they are very nice though :v:

Passed my test yesterday, have my brothers Ninja 250 sitting out the front. Just need to pop in a new battery and find a Shadow.
Can't wait to ride!

Congratulations man! :buddy:
I don't have a motorbike, but I did strip down my brother's bike for him while he was at work. Removed everything, leaving only the frame.
Little sod better be grateful.
Why? Did you owe him a favor?
Had a friend roll his ute down the road into my bike somehow, I don't even know. Obliterated my headlight.
Once again my mirrors stop my bike from taking any more damage when it falls over, those things are fucking bullet proof. When I upgrade I'm taking the mirrors off this one and keeping them.
Ride a ZZR-250(Kawasaki) which almost shares the same birthday as me.
Why? Did you owe him a favor?
Nah, I had nothing to do. Had I not done it I'd have spent the day in front of the computer instad.
So, do you guys drive relant robins during the winter?

They just go over the snow.
My friend took me for a ride on his 07 gsxr 600. That was kinda scary, but very exciting. Even though it was 2 dudes on a motorcycle.
Got my BMW!

Hell yeah, Skeea! You know you have to go everywhere in that, right?
Also, I should have my bobber up and running by tomorrow (At least I hope so).
And so I found out a good buddy of mine will probably inherit an old BMW from the 40's in unspecified conditions. Even if it's not working, it's still awesome.
Though he has to wait for his mother to stop being an asshead to be able to ride any bike, since she's paranoid/bitching about pretty much everything.
I think he's planning to murder her. Slowly.

Oh and, I'm thinking about turning my Rebel 125 in some weird sort of bobber/cafè racer hybrid. Wish me luck.

Do it. Rebels are fun as hell to work on.
I'm 6'6" (1.98 meter). Would I have a hard time finding a bike?
I'd suggest something like this:

Yamaha XJR 1300
or this

Suzuki GSX 1400
Those heavy kind of naked bikes are pretty big and should be comfortable for tall people. You could also try one of the big cruiser models or pretty much any tourer. The last one is a pure guess, never sat on one, but since they're made for long rides they should be comfortable enough even for tall people.
Just found the link to a motorcycle ergonomics things; tries to help you see how comfortable bikes should be for you size/height.

I have a 1991 Suzuki RG 80, can't wait to get my license

I also have a Rieju RR 50, fitted with a 70ccm cylinder, a 21mm carburettor and a Yasuni exhaust pipe. Runs pretty awesome for a moped.

on an unrelated note, I passed by a motorcycle wreck today. rider locked up his front brakes while trying to negotiate a curve and ended up sliding into a guardrail. he wasn't wearing a helmet and had to go undergo surgery for serious head and internal wounds.
wear your helmet otherwise you won't last long

I heard you'll get bored of the power in a 250cc in a month, and getting a 600' for a first bike would be wiser, if you just ride it with common sense.
[editline]31st May 2011[/editline]
But, yamaha wr250, suzuki DR-Z 250.

Isn't it illegal to not wear a helmet when riding?

in florida, if you're over 21 and have good enough insurance then it's allowed

You'd have to be a moron to ride without a helmet.
I need some help with my bike. I've been riding it today and just now a rattle like noise is coming from the engine (near spark plug) and some smoke is coming out the exhaust. Also noticed going from 2nd to 3rd it drops power then starts pulling again and for a moment in neutral being idle it became a bit spluttery. Any idea what's going on?

The Honda Rebel, older model. They're built like tanks. Little, zippy tanks.
