I'm watching it right now. Could've sworn I saw a post-it note saying "Kick me" on GERTY's back...
3 years alone in a space station, is there anything better to do?
I saw this a few days ago, absolutely phenomenal. I loved it. It seriously wasn't what I expected and it was worth the wait to me. Great film.
KEVIN SPACEY FUCK YEAH. Hehehe "Space"y.
I watched again, Mind is still blown... the actors are really amazing...
Damn! This movie is nowhere to be found in Iceland! I wanna see it!!
Sorry for the bump, but I really couldn't make a whole thread about this: A sequel has been announced, coming out next year, called "Mute".
Sorry for the bump, but I really couldn't make a whole thread about this: A sequel has been announced, coming out next year, called "Mute".
I read that right after I watched the movie and now I really can't wait to see it
I remember seeing this with my parents, my dad got it and loved it, my mum was like 'So... he's on the moon?...'
Awesome movie, reminds me heavily of Andrei Tarkovsky's Solaris more than Space Odyssey. Sam Rockwell was great as was Spacey.
I watched this a week or two ago. I really loved it.
I find this movie gets better after each viewing.

This movie is the calmer, but no less awesome sister to Sunshine.
Probably my third favourite movie after Inception and Pulp Fiction. The music in this film is amazing.
It ripped off 2001.
It ripped off 2001.
Are you stupid? The only thing vaguely similar is that it's set in space and there's a talking robot.
It's more of a rip-off of Solaris what with all of the existential crisis stuff going on. but 2001, hell no. The plot and direction are very, very different.
Are you stupid? The only thing vaguely similar is that it's set in space and there's a talking robot.
I don't think you understand anything if you think it's "vaguuely similar" (sic).
I don't think you understand anything if you think it's "vaguuely similar" (sic).
"a film has a talking robot in space RIP OFF" :downs:
"a film has a talking robot in space RIP OFF" :downs:
How is that a quote? I never said that? You don't seem to understand the art style, it's based in the same damn universe. The director even said that 2001 was EXACTLY what he was going for. Don't mess with me or I'll suck your brain dry.
Hey did you know Inglourious Basterds ripped off Schindler's List? because they both take place during World War II
Hey did you know Inglourious Basterds ripped off Schindler's List? because they both take place during World War II
wat. You're retarded? I didn't even mention WW2 and those movies have almost nothing in common. If you understood movies then you'd know that Injuriousness Basterds wasnt actually about WW2.
2001 was definitely used as an inspiration for Moon
Terrific film.
2001 was definitely used as an inspiration for Moon
Inspiration and homage =/= rip-off Even if the ghost of kubrick did posses the director during the filming of the movie, it's still far from a rip-off.
wat. You're retarded? I didn't even mention WW2 and those movies have almost nothing in common. I never got the part about the [sp] Special Mercenary Team[/sp] or why [sp]he is all alone, he could've brought some clone friends and made clone sex and have clone babies[/sp]

Watched it on Netflix the other day in glorious HD. It's really great movie.
Moon is awesome can not wait for mute to come out
One of the best movies I've ever seen, hands down.
