Need opinions on a first car! - General

She sold her giant Chevy Van for one since she wanted better gas. It the back, corner window was replaced with a red wood panel since it busted. Then she gave it to my aunt after she wrecked her car and purchased a Chevy Venture (I hate that thing).

I've heard very good things about the newer Ford Fiestas, if that's in your budget. Jettas are also pretty decent starter cars.

Fiestas are pretty sweet looking. I wouldn't mind one, and don't they compete with the Yaris and Fit? If so, I think it's miles ahead of them.

With petrol prices going the way they are and insurance rates for younger drivers you're best doing as much as possible to keep the costs down now so you can afford to save up for a better car a year or 2 down the line.
