Got first 2 seasons of Game of Thrones on Bluray for $6, discs are fine.

We may or may not lose the forums soon, but we don't have to lose each other.
I posted this on the Discord, but I picked up an old Kiron 80-200mm FD mount lens for cheap. Had to fix the two arms that control the aperture, but now it works 100%. It's not bad in between f/8 and f/16.

Picked up a few new games from Value Village and a used game store, highlight was finding a sealed copy of the GotY version of Homeland with all it's extras including the manual/lore book that I've wanted since I was kid. Also got Freelancer, FEAR, Civ IV Collector's Ed. and a few others. Brings my collection of thrift games to this.

Also not exactly thrifting but I went to a retro show a while back and manged to pick up this Macintosh Classic for about $100. Better yet is that it was a school one so it came with a bunch of unique software from the province and educational games.

spent about $65, they gave me 10 off the micro because they lost the charger.
Finally got to hit the flea market with money to burn and picked up a new old fan for $25 to replace my Sterling that burned up. Still hoping to eventually get the Sterling to Zorlok for repairs as it's a great fan. Shot of 3 in 1 and she's running smooth.

I also got a bunch of antique tools for $25 total.

The pipe wrench cleaned right up and is marked STILLSON PATTERN WRENCH USA. It is the type described in the Stillson's 1876 improved patent but I'm not sure when it was made precisely. In great shape and bites hard. The spring loaded jaw is a monster.
The thing in the middle is for lapping valve seats on Ford Model As. Its patent was approved in 1937 and the case is stamped PATENT APPLIED FOR so I'm guessing it predates the patent's approval. It's fun to use but I don't think I will have any practical application for it.
Hand drill is nice but the ratchet mechanism is seized. Really solid drill though. No idea when it was made.
The little winged screwdriver I know nothing about. It's super cool and feels very nice in the hand, but has no markings at all.
The small hammer (mallet?) is iron and has a really strange grip. Not sure when it was made either. I need to tighten up the head before using it.

And I got all these tapes for $5.
I just managed to get a Black 32gb Wii U for £40
Been doing a lot of thrift-store/yard sales lately, been flipping a lot of mid-century glassware for a rather nice return on investment
Some notable finds include a black pyrex dish that I bought for 3$ and sold for 75$
Other stuff includes an unopened link figma that I bought at a church thrift store for 10$, and a pair of complete G1 Transformer toys that I paid a whopping 25 cents for

I bought a bomb
The bomb is a WW2 aerial depth charge. Not bad for $100.

In similar news, I picked up this wooden crate for $10 today. I can make out at least two separate US Army Ordnance Dept flaming bombs, and it looks like it started out as a box for 60mm mortar shells for the M2 mortar. At one point it carried HE shells for an M48 patton and it also has two separate willy-pete stamps. Looks like it served from WW2 through Vietnam.

Continuing the theme of stuff that goes boom, here are some Oct. 1968-dated railroad flares that I got today for $2 each. I thought they were dynamite sticks at first
Here's something I picked up back in December, it's a 30" Emerson circulator. This model was produced in between 1937-1939.

I totally disassembled it and gave it some new paint. Wrinkle finish on the motor and base plate, flat black on the cage. Also redid all the wiring and put new switch on, since the original pull chain levolier was gone.

They're a little beat up but these shoes I got a while ago at a buffalo exchange in nyc are fucking amazing. They are exactly my size too and super comfortable. They're a little beat up but I don't mind.

I don't know if this is legit but it seems to be. Other reproductions I've seen are copied from a black and white archival photo and therefore have no colored ink. If it's a repro, it's a very old one.

Nailed myself an in-box 2hu today at goodwill for 30$
Couldn't be happier, TBH, this thing is massive
Since there was a huge flea market this weekend, decided to take a peak around. Not much equipment but tons of LP's and CD's. So i bought two old compilations for 1€ each. Then i went to my local flea market and i scored big, found one of the first Nero albums and my most favorite Madonna album, also 1€ each

I got that stereo cabinet I grabbed for 30 bucks fixed up. Repairing the amp cost me $120 and I figured out how the auxiliary input works so now I can play music through it from my laptop or phone and boy does it sound amazing. The 14.5 inch main speakers coupled with the not-much-smaller backup horns really put out a fantastic tone. It just kinda fills the air with music, it doesn't sound like it's coming from anywhere specific.
At max volume it's physically painful to share a room with it and I think could easily cause permanent hearing damage, but the speakers never clip or crackle. I'm very impressed with the capabilities of this 57 year old stereo.
Hopefully my Raspberry Pi will be delivered today - I want to build a permanent media center to live in the cabinet.

I had an insane day at the flea market today... One of my best days ever! Will post finds this weekend.
You're such a tease
Weekend come and gone. Not only a tease, but a blueballer
I didn't realize we had a thread for this, I go junking for pretty much all of my clothes and home furniture so I'll be sure to show off my finds soon. Before I show stuff I actually bought figured ya'll might like one of the most ridiculous things I've found at a salvation army.
I should have bought it and sent it to RLM...

It's quite old, and has been owned by my mom's side of the family since the early 1900s.
