recently picked up my first master system game, I don't have a master system yet but it was 7 bucks and totally complete [t]https://puu.sh/z8V81/d25204b354.png[/t] but this is the real reason i bought it [t]https://puu.sh/z8V1b/8146591cfd.png[/t] this poster is so good
In my experience Master System games are like Odyssey 2 games in that they usually are complete in box more often than not.
In my experience Master System games are like Odyssey 2 games in that they usually are complete in box more often than not.
i would guess that not a lot of kids got to them because of the way they looked especially next to nes games also clamshell cases
Found me some old school rally lights at the flea market in Brussels today. Going to mount these on my Volvo 142 (Mine aren't mint as these are, same make and model though)

Literally my dream car
Fuck the lights, where did you find a 142???? Literally my dream car
I bought it last summer, got it for 900 euros. Found it in the northern part of the Netherlands (facebook group find). It needs a bit of work but it's in overal good condition. Low mileage too. 75k miles! Here's a crappy picture of it;
I was hoping something like that could go on my Saab 900 but a 142 is much more deserving, badass car
I recently purchased a sony tcm2 (and replaced some wiring for the speaker and mic) for 2.50$. Only thing that doesn't work is the forward and rewind. Also a fiskars cutting board for 2$, medieval total war battle pack for 2$ (full w/game) a guitar, line 6 amp, line 6 pocket pod, and a guitar stand for a total of 40$, a m-audio oxygen 25 for 15$, bid 15$ on a draft inducer, guy sent with diaphragms, gas regulator, and everything else, valued at about 200$ in total. On top of that, sniped 3 PS1 auctions and modded them. Also, almost forgot, a scroll saw for 10$ that was still in box unopened, with the receipt still in it. All within a few days, oddly enough. Almost forgot too, I found a life magazine from 1941 with horihito on the front. 7.50$. and civ 4 gold for 2$. [editline]30th January 2018[/editline] A air mover for a house still in box too. Worth 130$ for 20$.
Hey guys. Is there a way to know authentic painting's price? What do i even do if i stumble upon some original painting?
Most paintings aren't worth a lot. A good painting from a hobby artist with no recognition might be worth 50-100 bucks. The starting point is to identify the artist and then look for art auctions including their pieces.

Found some of his paintings online for 5-10k$, but couldn't find the one we now own.
Well then the first step would be to determine if it's paint or print. If it's actually painted, attempt to identify the painting by searching for a list of the artist's works, then look to see if it's ever been sold at auction. You can't get a current value on a one-of-a-kind painting without taking it to an appraiser, but you can get an idea of what it went for the last time it sold. If you can't identify the painting, you can only guess what it's worth by comparing it to similar pieces (similar in terms of size and era), unless you take it to an appraiser.
It seems to be original, hence it was never sold or was anywhere at all. I could barely find a picture of it, but no information about it's location. But yeah, sent an email to the guy who collects them, maybe that'll help.
Just popped in a local charity shop and got a wii for £2 was £5, which would have been daylight robbery for a wii of all things, those fuckers are super common especially without the cables, but I asked if they could come down on the price, because it was "untested" they didn't have the cables, so they didn't have the ability to turn it on and it wouldn't have really been a loss if it DID turn out to be busted, it's just £2 at the end of the day. Works perfectly fine, just needs a bit of a wipe and clean AND it had a game in it as well, Mario Strikers Charged Football! double score! [editline]edit[/editline] Gunna homebrew it and use it as a downstairs Nintendo/emulation machine (emulators, gamecube games, etc), already got my original Wii upstairs doing much the very same thing, Wiis are fantastic little machines in that regard.
Seems a little bit shitty to haggle in a charity shop honestly
I only haggle when I see a legitimate reason for haggling, it hadn't been tested man, I ain't paying £5 for what COULD be faulty stuff. Also, not really, not when you live where I live and every single charity shop upmarket things to extortionate prices, like prices in which items might as well be sold brand new.

I dunno if this is the right place, but it seems to be so I'll just continue. A year ago my great uncle passed away, and we've only started to go through his stamp and coin collections. He has stamps from pretty much every country and time period(Tsarist Russia, General Government(Nazi Poland), etc) Does anyone know more about stamps?

Some can be worth quite a bit of money as I'm sure you know but unfortunately I'm not into it myself, I'll ask in the Discord though. Flea market today wasn't amazing but I got a couple neat things. Records (yes I paid asking price for them sue me I like the dealer): [t]https://i.imgur.com/0MtnQlO.jpg[/t][t]https://i.imgur.com/cbiAl4R.jpg[/t][t]https://i.imgur.com/xDLK9PL.jpg?1[/t] Super beefy art deco door plates(???) (also yes they're upside down): [t]https://i.imgur.com/3lX2veS.jpg?1[/t][t]https://i.imgur.com/ilmz0sx.jpg?1[/t] A squirt gun: [t]https://i.imgur.com/iWwtfge.jpg[/t] And a really neat flood-damaged piece of art that was free so I thought I'd try to save it: [t]https://i.imgur.com/4A6g352.jpg?1[/t] Any advice on recovering this or is it beyond help? It came in its original frame but it was so rotted I just scrapped it. I was going to cut the white edge paper off and plant it on new backing but there's some damage to the print itself as well. There were several other prints there but none were as cool as this one and they were all in much worse shape.

If the print is too damaged to repair physically you can give it a shot in Photoshop instead.
Yeah if I have to throw it away I'm going to scan it first. It's never been digitized as far as I can tell. It's a pretty limited print (600 or something total) so I don't want to throw away the original if I don't have to. It reminds me a bit of Ralph McQuarrie's art actually. It's going on my wall whether it's the original print or a cleaned-up copy.
Thrift hasn't been amazing lately but I did find this at Goodwill for 10 bucks today. [t]https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/329279019075764227/412741996763938826/image.jpg[/t] Not amazing or super rare or anything and I don't even think it's that old but it looks sharp as a tack and it's real comfy. I'm guessing it's 70s-80s at the oldest because I don't think it's real leather, but it is really solidly built, solid wood frame and brass casters, so it looks cool as heck. [editline]12th February 2018[/editline] I think it actually is real leather. Found a nick in the back and it doesn't have the fuzzy shit pleather always has on furniture, just looks like torn leather.
So the goofy C96-shaped squirt gun I got has kind of a neat history: it's one of the first "modern" squirt guns. I decided to look up the patent number to get an idea of when it was made: https://patentimages.storage.googleapis.com/85/f3/1b/995186ecc59773/US3187950.pdf Pretty much every squirt gun out there is a copy of this mechanism, and here I have one made by the guy that patented it! Neat, if incredibly pointless.
All that's cool but how about the medieval axe I just bought? [t]https://i.imgur.com/TyZmfOU.jpg[/t][t]https://i.imgur.com/8SDBhoO.jpg[/t][t]https://i.imgur.com/2SZp8ss.jpg[/t] The giant blade riveted to the original is so fucking excellent. I loved it as soon as I realized what I was seeing. It's coming from Bulgaria so there's no telling how old it actually is, the seller thinks 1800s, which for Bulgaria is pretty much still medieval, so it counts.
Haven't found a good buy in months now, it really feels like winter is the dry season of doom.

I took a rug to a thrift store, and ended up coming home with Unreal, Gunman Chronicles, and Driver: You Are The Wheelman, all for $1
