I hate the new community, I wish for 2007, it was the golden age, throughout 2006 and 2007, we had people looking out for each other, people would be like

I really hope youtube can be restored, take away the company's and bring the people!

VEVO also destroyed everything, rick rolls are now on vevo and the unfunny part is that rick astly is blocked in most countries.
Takes me to my next rant, blockings. SERIOUSLY? The only country that requires censorship is china! I don't get how one music video is blocked but I can jump to viemo and watch it there ad-free, censorship free and bullshit-free.

Well, you can "restore" the old youtube layout with wayback machine, loading takes a bit longer because with eevery page the machine needs to go through a lot of files, but still, it's quite good

I remember back in 2006 not many people knew about Youtube it was a nice place to find funny videos. Back then those Smosh guys were pretty funny. Now I just see them as sellouts

For example, I went on Youtube a month back, and a guy fishing at a creek I use to goto as a kid made a smartass comment when he was clearly snagging, "Oh look it's in their mouth" I fucking raged... And reported them to the New York Wild Life And Game.
Remember when you could upload stuff more than 10 mins long? I remember uploading a video of the Tommy opera in it's entirety

I can understand the copy right laws because Youtube is going to get sued if they don't comply with them. I don't think that is a valid thing to complain about.
The user base has just gotten a lot bigger and of course the users are going to be idiots.
I don't like the ads at all because a lot of them are really annoying, I wouldn't mind them so much if they weren't such a hassle. But it's understandable as to why they need so many ads and why they only have sponsored videos on the front page.
Oh shut up, youtube has been the same for years, at least the userbase.
Layout devastation ruined YouTube a lot for me. When everything was pretty much colorless, it really sucked. Nobody liked it and nobody I know likes it now. I don't see why they had to take away everything nice in terms of the layout and replace it with blankness.
I still use YouTube as normal, though. I just try not to think about this pathetic move while I do so.

When youtube first started it wasn't as widely known as it was today. Any site that attracts more users and grows exponentially is also going to attract trolls and preteens.
