Yes, but I suddenly find myself in a stalemate. I am incompatible with fashion.
If you can't find what you want in all those stores that sell clothes and shoes in todays fashion then go to an opshop. They'll surely have stuff that you like.
i literally do not give a fuck about fashion but i still try to look normal and fashionable because if you're in high school you're going to be put off by everyone if you don't look normal
yes, people are stupid, deal with it.

So you want to have a love relationship with someone who's attracted toward you because of what you wear, and not who you are?
I hope you enjoy a shitty relationship then.
Anyone who wears those shoes has no sense of style.
Define "style".
I'd rather have a comfortable versatile pair of trainers over some tacky pair of converses that are only good for one thing: Walking.
if i was skinnier i'd wear skinny jeans. i don't have the body for them.
why are you guys against skinny jeans, what's wrong with the seriously

itt people thinking that they're better than other people because THEY DON'T CARE SEE GUYS I DON'T CARE MAN I'M SO COOL I DON'T CARE LOOK AT ME HEY GUYS I DON'T KNOW IF YOU KNOW THIS BUT I HAPPEN TO NOT CARE WHOA LOOK AT THAT and while doing so making themselves look ugly and socially awkward with their lack of style

As said before, I personally don't wear them because my Calf and thigh muscles make them painfully constricting. I don't actually have a problem with them though, so I guess we're in the same boat
[editline]09:44PM[/editline]
I personally think the current trend of 'quite nice, respectable clothing' is better than the 'scene kid' phase we just went through

Personally I don't have a problem against people wearing skinny jeans, it's people wearing girl jeans. I just go with jeans that are just comfortable fitting. Not really loose, and not really tight.

Yeah how ironic.
That strawman you just pulled shows how arrogant you are.

a strawman? There have been several posters in this thread who have heavily implied that they think 'fashion' or dressing nicely is below them

That's beside my point. Typing an example or quote of their arguments in all caps and/or without proper grammar to make them look less favorable or make them sound stupid is not only a strawman, but patronizing.
go to an army surplus store and buy a pair of black leather boots, then find some jeans on the darker end of blue. wear the T shirt of your favourite band with a leather jacket on top.
I need the money to do that.

well it's kind of an unfavourable opinion to begin with, it's just trading one bandwagon for another.
Group A wears A
Group B wears B
Group A makes fun of B
Group B makes fun of A
Repeat for infinite variables in infinite permutations
There I summed the fucking thread up go home

Normal people wear whatever
Guy C has no friends and makes fun people that follow modern fashion because he's 'above it'
There I fixed it
If you pride yourself on wearing "normal" everyman clothing making it a point to tell people about it, it's because you're not confident in yourself and take the safest road in terms of how you appear.
And at the end of the day you're about as memorable as the ficus in the corner of the room.

So now it's appearance that makes people memorable; Not how they act, or who they are? What kind of fucked up place do you live in?
That's quite a sweeping generalization too. Personally, I don't wear any of these bizarre gaudy clothes because they generally don't appeal to me, are uncomfortable or "pre worn", and cost more.
I'll agree though that it's stupid to go around arguing with people over their clothing, though.
Thanks for the recommendation to use Amazon for clothing, found some cheap Levi's on there. Does anybody know of a site in North America that has some nice jackets (preferably full-zip hoodies)?
Sorry to stray off topic, just thought this would be an adequate place to ask this.

Zumiez has some nice hoodies, very plain color/looking ones.

Pacsun has decently good ones too.

These are some of the most popular places in America for kids in High School to shop at.

And let me guess
You classify yourself in the group you designated "normal"
Almost as snobby as the OP there cheesemonkey.

He has a wonderful point with his "Person C" addition. Well albeit the "loser" bit, because loser's dwell in packs but you know what I mean.
I prefer wearing skinny(but not too skinny) jeans because I find them comfortable. I honestly just hate anything that's baggy and isn't slim fitting. I just feel ugly in baggy or even average clothing, I guess I'm just vain.
Basically, I shop at Hot Topic for shirts, Macy's for "Levi's 510" jeans, and American Apparel for stuff like v-necks and cardigans. Hardly ever find XXS though :frown:
I wear black t shirts, baggy blue jeans or cargo pants of either black of khaki color, a winter jacket/light jacket, and white shoes. That's really it. I don't give two shits about fashion or what's in, I wear what I'm comfortable in and what I like, and it isn't some skinny jeans or goth pants or shit.
Works for me. But really, people can wear whatever the hell they want, I don't care. Personally, I find people who do the whole gothy chain pants and hoodies thing kinda attractive looking, so meh. I'd never do it though.

No, you're just slightly homosexual.
No, you're just slightly homosexual.
They are clothes.
Sure there are some obviously gay clothes like extremely deep v-necks and extremely short shorts, but for fuck sake there is nothing wrong with some skinny jeans, a blue jacket, and a v-neck.
Lol. What is with girls and parachute belt strap things..
No, you're just slightly homosexual.
It's funny because alot of girls find less baggy pants like skinny jeans more attractive.

sucks in fat.
no joke
1. that is absolutely fine. If you've got a fair bit of money and you're still buying thrift store clothes, something's wrong.
Not at all. You can get plenty of trendy clothes from thrift stores.
I'm tired of all the black people with sagging pants, and the 'emos' with the amazingly huge pants or the pants so tight that they couldn't find their wang if they tried. That's it really.
baggy pants have been gone for a while my friend
