So what colour do you, or anybody else, think would look nice? I made a nice golden brown, kind of orange. And then I found an aqua colour. Any other suggestions?

Just experiment yourself. find out what fits with the layout.
Also I don't fit for teamwork, I might derail your original intentions for storyline and my humor is really, really horrible.

How about coding the site a bit? I want it to be more like Concerned, with the Hide/Show Notes section, and the Index having the pictures, and when you scroll over, it shows you the numbers. Possible?

Your posing is rather icky and the layout is meh
but I'm not sure on how to tell you to improve except that you'll see whats wrong later on when you start to get better at posing
so I'll say keep at it and improve your jokes.
