It's worse than I expected it to be. Also it has too few songs.
Keep posting reviews. :3:
An Outtakes album will be released shortly.
i'm half expecting a track by ak'z on the outtakes which celebrates his life and music taste and hails him as the greatest man on earth who is better than you
If anyone was wondering, the reason my "Funny" song isn't funny is because it was supposed to be for "Smarked", bur Pepin did a better job than me.

But then again, I made them both :v:
Funny how that was my design
what the hell is this

Late At The Gates Of Hysteria - Akayz
with a ticking clock added because Akayz remembered he was doing a track for late.
Actually I want to relook at this review.
How exactly does it sound as if a clock was added at the last minute?
I gave every track a chance, but I only honestly liked one, which was Forever by Reset Panda.
[editline]sss[/editline]
Information was solid too.
The outtakes album is now up :buddy:
oh wow my dumb loop is in there

There was some really cool stuff that we had to leave out :3:
The covers... oh god, man
It's too late to change them. :smug:
Gave a half arsed listen, most of it is electronic which sounds okay, the other half is experimental crap which tries to act intelligent
Not my fancy

I don't really see the experimental parts (ok, "Agree" was half-way experimental, but things as that have been done before). Not to be just stereotyping you, but I get ther impression that you're the kind of person listening to electronic almost exclusively, and like I said that I can't really comment on the electronic without being biased, I think you can't comment on the other parts either.
Is it fair to say that it's not a generic album then? :v:

Because it doesn't add much to the track, it doesn't really contribute to the overall structure. You have the drums which create a beat, and the clock sound just doesn't fit.
When the clock kicks into the drum beat, I was trying to emphasize the "movement" of the track. It makes sense in stereo imo.
You might prefer Yurko's late demo though.
107 Megabytes of my school's bandwidth, this better be good :colbert:
so i got bored and did a remix of that agree track thing

I think someting to read over is the guy that told us the KISS principal
My acclaimed track was a loop of probably 2 patterns that lasted 8 bars each iirc, and Information and Buzzsaw were really repeditive

I don't really think technically matters much. It's the feeling that was put into it, that's what makes it good :smugdog:
The album really pairs up with the ratings. For example, 'Friends' sounds really 'optimistic', 'Orion' sounds pretty artistic and 'Dylan's 420th Dream' was funny. Good work.
The second concept album is in the works.
So pop in if you have ideas. It looks like it may be space oriented :3:
Are you not going to tour the first album? :v:
Are you not going to tour the first album? :v:
Of course.
We plan to do a "Raters Gonna Rate" World Tour with at least 50 shows.
50p a ticket :smug:

i listen to no electronic music. from what I heard most of it was fairly simple melodic electronic music, nothing amazing, nothing bad either from a neutral view. The other part (particular akayz's tracks) were just dumb that tried to be experimental with ambience, clock noises and random notes, and generally came out being unpleasant noise
unpleasant noise
And I suppose everything else you listen to is "pleasant" :downs:

explain to me the reason behind late at the gates of hysteria and why it isn't bad

I'll admit it's probably bad "musically". But I'm no musician so I can't comment. :smug:
All stuff I post is experimentation, handle it.
If you were going to hear something good musically that is conceptual with time.
Listen to Time by Pink Floyd.

Least time actually had a song in it though
