I've had run ins with lots of those guys, they're annoying as fuck. Even more annoying when they gloat about how many megapixels their camera has, which every decent photographer will know that it only contributes a small portion to how the photo turns out. Ughhhhhh.
Here's a pic of one of those guys I know of that labels this kind of stuff as photography. And if I recall he makes money off of it as well.

They had normal photos too. So they kind of wasted money if anything, but at least they didn't ruin the time of any guests by forcing them to do hipstamatic photography. So I'm less against it than I was initially.

While I was shooting a Halloween costume show for school yearbook, I asked other people who were also shooting for yearbook; who had DSLRs with Kit Lens. I asked them: What's your body, half of them said: don't know. (Oh my..) (Most of the users were using a Nikon D3100, one Sony A350, one Canon EOS 600D.). All were using pop-up flashes and complained about the flash recycle time.
