The day you can't pay for a treatment for your dying mom, or your kids, because the hospital is asking for $100,000+ in fees, you'll realise that maybe you didn't think this through.

If I remember correctly, the healthcare law in no way makes the government in charge of providing insurance. Not only that, but it establishes a system where you are able to actually shop for healthcare, so the healthcare providers would have to be competitive if they want business. Not only that, but under the law it has a provision where EVERYONE WOULD BE REQUIRED TO HAVE INSURANCE. Now, that is controversial, but you have to agree that when EVERYONE IN THE US BE REQUIRED TO HAVE INSURANCE that suddenly the companies find themselves with literally millions more customers paying premiums and whatnot, that they would not gain more money? That, and government handouts for medicare and medicaid would be a lot less because everyone would have insurance? The whole law was about reforming healthcare, not the damn government taking it over! Everyone would have PRIVATE INSURANCE. The law simply reforms the entire thing, not takes it over. Is that so hard for those in the right wing to get?!

Ryan rand is a nut who never looked in a history book (like the early 19 hundreds and how the workers were treated without regulation). When no one is stopping you from owning slaves or paying your workers nothing then you will. But besides that there are a few things I dont mind about libertarians like how they are less homophobic then republicans.

Honestly, while I disagree with your views in the economic spectrum, I do hope there could be more parties in the US political map. Maybe the rise of a third party could motivate others to do the same. Either that or actually put democrats/leftists/socialists in the Democratic Party. I wish libertarianism would work, but people/corporations are untrustworthy. I can't really see a good result of deregulation.
