please stop saying blair witch that was a terrible movie not scary at all until the very end just watch like the last 20 min of it
Drag Me to Hell is just.. jesus christ.
So god damn scary, includes supposedly a scary part which turned out to be funny. But it is still VERY scary.
Genuine? Gosh you could try the human centipede, Dawn of the Dead, Dead Snow, Memento (thriller), TV Face, The Thing on the doorstep, The Happening.
Drag me to hell is hilarious
A Nightmare on Elm Street, the original. Still creeps me the fuck out to this day.
Ju-on: The Grudge(yes, the Japanese version.)
The Ring(found it spookier than Ringu, really.)
The Blair Witch Project
The Thing
The Exorcist
Night of the Living Dead
Session 9
The Others
Lady in White
The Amityville Horror
I love scary movies and basically strive to find the perfect ones that can actually instill a feeling of dread in me.
The ones I've listed are the ones that have thus far succeeded.
Remove The Others, Night of the Living Dead, and Blair Witch Project, and also Amityville Horror, also mention that it's the ORIGINAL The Thing, not the remake which is bs.
The Thing, one of few movies that still scares me to this day.
Woods of Evil.
It's horrifying!

There's the door.
Sleepy Hollow is a really great horror film. The scariness comes mostly from the great atmosphere, music and landscape of the movie. The movie reminds me of the old Hammer films. That's what I'm talking about: http://passionforcinema.com/wp-content/uploads/sleepy_hollow06.jpg and http://images.fanpop.com/images/image_uploads/Sleepy-Hollow-tim-burton-563855_1024_768.jpg
Tim Burton is in his element in this movie. Of course there is the horrifying Headless Horseman, never can tell when he's coming from the Western woods...
