Thank you for the feedback I like the drawing brush tool and the eraser a lot, they're fun when used with a tablet. About the color, there's a little problem because I'm limited to 6 colors in this picture and I've already used all of them sadly
Use the black for some strands of hair and give the midtone of meatboy as an highlight to bloodpool.
How does it look? I'd like to add a hat too. [editline]10th December 2010[/editline] For some reason it's doing that fucked up white aliasing, idk why that is [editline]10th December 2010[/editline] Nvm, fixed.
yeap, but make strands thinner a bit. I'd draw you an example but I'm a state of near drunkendness
Better now?
jup. Also if that line under the chinbeard... what is it?
... His chin? Man that's a lower lip beard, get your fancy beard facts straight!
Am I doing the beard/chin wrong?
The problem is that you lack a perspective for your blood. Meatboy is actually standing on the ground and he's facing right at us from what seems to be a slight frog perspective. By trying to re-create what seems to be a more correct perspective you can easilier see how you should draw the blood and make it look like it is one the same floor he is standing on. Rough example:
Is there a way to tweak the existing curve instead of having to make a new one? I can't seem to find any perspective tweaking tool.
You do it by your gut feeling. Shit furter away is smaller and closer it gets bigger. Just draw ovals that fit the perspective and make them overlap.

It's something you learn through practice.
ehh can you draw a blob shadow under him? Try it.
Like this?
Move the edge behind down so you can see white from under the DELICIOUS GAP
this face popped into my mind when I saw this, so I just had to do it.

Fully vectorized using Adobe Photoshop. A lot easier to use than illustrator in my opinion :p
Fully vectorized using Adobe Photoshop. A lot easier to use than illustrator in my opinion :p
How long did it take?
Now, the perspective is fucking hard to get right and I think you've pulled it off well enough. The main problem is simply the character himself. He's drawn as a flat fuck with no depth, so to implement perspective in the first place kinda goes against the way he's drawn. So to get it to look completely right will be pretty much impossible since there is no real indication of how he's standing since he's completely 2D and we don't fully know where we are looking at him from so we assume it's straight infront which means you would hardly be able to see the ground at all..
How long did it take?
like 3 min xD [editline]10th December 2010[/editline] I've done a heck lot of practice in Photoshop vector, however.

[editline]11th December 2010[/editline] So I decided to fully get rid of the blood puddle since it was a stupid idea anyway and drew this guy a little hat.
How can I help that?
You'd need to re-draw him in a 3D shape with a set perspective.
I'm not familiar with Illustrator at all, but if it has a skew tool, then I'd try testing that out to understand perspective a bit more.
