My dad just interviewed someone who did the following
1. Checked her phone
2. Chewed on ice
3. Applied lipstick
4. Couldn't answer a single question about herself
5. Didn't make eye contact
And this was for a 120k sales position
Don't be like this person and you'll do fine

oh shit just what I needed to not make my blood boil
I really detest that some people like the one your father interviewed get well paid jobs or climb up the ladder at some companies while others who are more smart and are busting their asses are ignored.

I don't know about advice but today I learned you must live really close to me.
If you live in Nashville, I'd love some advice about city life. I live 3 hours away in a town with a population of under 400. Super rural.
Well jeez 3 hours away you could be in the next time zone.
I live like 20 minutes outside Nashville but I don't go far into the city very often. Driving there is a pain if you don't know exactly where you're going. Your lane will spontaneously change into a turn lane with no warning, and I can never tell where I can and can't park.
Maybe all cities are like that, I dunno. I liked Knoxville more, but that might be because I was either walking or taking public transport everywhere.
My advice is go eat at Burger Republic, they have amazing food and amazing alcoholic milkshakes.
amazing alcoholic milkshakes.
isn't alcohol and milk a bad combo for your stomach though?
isn't alcohol and milk a bad combo for your stomach though?
Not that I've ever noticed. I wouldn't figure it's a big problem if white russians and bailey's irish cream are as popular as they are. I would say maybe it's a problem if taken in excess, but most things are, including alcohol by itself.

the TCoTSAD sounds like something far more serious than what I've interviewed for, but make sure you make good eye contact and if you're interviewing with more than one person at once, address everyone equally. maybe strike up a conversation with the people there while you're waiting if that type of situation is appropriate.
I've had the tinder app on my phone for months but I never used it once. I'm almost embarrassed to even give it a try. What if I see someone from school, or they see me? Won't that be weird?

Why would that be weird

If you get Tinder plus you can enable an option that hides you from people you didn't like.
Also, got invited to a concert tomorrow with another woman. She said I could sleep over at her place. I'm not in a relationship yet soooo .. kinda split.
I usually superlike people if I come across someone I know. It doesn't really matter.

I have a personal rule that if I'm seeing someone, relationship or not I won't sleep with other people. Just complicates shit for me, but it's up to you.
So I had that date. Went fine, but tbh I'm not really feeling it. She's really nice and all, but yet I don't really feel anything about her. I kinda liked her before this but I don't think she's really my type.
Puts me in a tricky spot though since said she really likes me (and I accidentally opened the text...) and ive never been in this position before.
edit: basically im not really sure what to tell her. like I was thinking along the lines of "I had a lot of fun tonight and you're really nice! However, I'm not feeling any chemistry in that way". idk ive literally never been in this position

that's basically what I ended up texting her, we agreed to be friends (we do have a 33 snap streak to maintain any way lol) so this ended up well tbh.
Talked to her for 5 hours. I enjoy talking to her and the more I learn about her makes me really like her. I hope one day we will hang out

Well, you're BOTH using it, so that means you're both in the same boat. I've seen coworkers and facebook friends on there plenty of times.
I think it's more of a blessing when that happens than anything. Because if it's a co-worker/friend that I think is attractive, I can give them a like, and if we don't match, I know it'd be a waste of time to approach that person irl too. Likewise, if it's someone I'm not interested in, I can swipe left and then neither of us get any false ideas.
Sometimes I'll give them a like just because we're friends and I think they'd get a kick out of chatting on Tinder, but I've never ACTUALLY matched with someone I know. Including, strangely, a girl that I went on one date with, and suspected wanted to go out with me again.
I always match/superlike everyone I know
So little update on that girl from College.
I messaged her today on FB and she quickly responded to me after she arrived from her work shift.
"I didn't have my what's for the past few days" after that she wrote nothing else.
Moments after receiving the message her contact appeared once again on my phone with her photo and everything. So I guess that's problem solved? Honestly I don't really know what happened. I really need to stop falling for weird girls.

Tinder is something everyone and their mother is doing, and if someone sees you, they're using it themselves? There's nothing embarrassing about it.
"Wow that guy wants to be loved, what a weirdo"

there's nothing weird about it to be honest, I've seen old work colleagues and school friends on it, and the first match I ever got was my ex girlfriend.

in my eyes, if you're not committed to someone, it's fair game to sleep with someone else. I've been on a date recently, we've scheduled a second, but we haven't discussed being together or being exclusive to each other, and at the start of the week one of my friends invited me round for sex.
so I had me some sex.
if she does the same it doesn't bother me because we're not an item, even if we have been on a date and plan to go on more.
im not sure if i should text her today she has a family party
Started to open up about this girl to a few friends I trust.
She and her bf sat with us at dinner last night and we started talking about Trumpcare failing to get passed before I left with some friends to get ice cream.
I wish I didn't enjoy talking with her so much.
Deep thinking.

Send the text, just be aware that she might be busy and/or not respond quickly?

How come I can never figure out what to talk about.
Then again I guess it's because I feel like it's one sided interest.
Probably is.

Surely you've got things just on your mind during your life, thoughts or ideas about things. If it's conversational topics you need really just take what's been on your mind and make an open question of it. Then also remember, you don't have to do all the talking so just listen and ask related questions if the other person is talking, I suppose.
I really have no idea how to ask her if she wants to hang out. I mean I'm sure she would because we have been talking a lot. It just gives me anxiety thinking about asking if she wants to hang out
