I can't stand the fact that alcohol is more tolerated than let's say cannabis as an example, which has been on the world since 2000 before christmas, while alcohol is a few hundred years old. Not to mention it's less harmful.
You're probably not even old enough to legally drink, and the closest you've gotten to cannabis is from listening to some other kid bragging about how he smoked a blunt under a bridge.
Take your uneducated mind back to wikipedia.
I didn't offend anyone, just stated my opinion. If you got a problem with that, then you're wrong on the internet. Freedom of speech.
Noone asked about your opinion and noone cares for it. Keep your words to yourself or be expected to be called out on your dumbassery.
That's my opinion.

+1 agree for you.

You're right, just take whiskey for example, it's no cheap shit just to get loaded for the sake of being drunk. The mellow taste of burned wood, something for an enthusiast. Apparently this thread is now about discussing alcohol instead of the wonderful Oktoberfest and the joys of being together, listening to music and drinking some beer.
Random basement jerk: "Oh, other people having fun, they are not allowed to!"

And, somehow, the brown creamy beers/whisky makes me like alcohol .

reading stuff from wikipedia doesn't make you smart or give you the right to tell who is and who isn't

W-w-w-wait. There is a celebration where you can easily get women drugs in skimpy outfits?
I am so there.

Oh, sorry. 16 is the legal age here in germany to drink beer, half a year and I'm 18, which is the legal age for every alcohol. I've also drunk alcohol a few times. Doesn't matters though, even 12 year old kids can get alcohol here.
Then again, of course I only heard about it, because I don't smoke regulary, no, why would I? I bought a pipe/bong for fun, for decoration. Also I visit my dealer to gift him my money, yeah. :downs:
Enough, I'll just stop. I never told anyone to stop drinking, I just said I hate the oktoberfest, for what it has come to. From an old tradition to an excuse to get fucking drunk.
I hate the whole thing, makes it look like alcohol is a nice drug and such. Yeah let's get our kids to be drunk all day, who cares if they die in car accidents?
Now don't tell me people there keep an eye on how drunk they are. :colbert:
Yeah, because everyone who drinks alcohol drinks until they pass out and after they wake up a few minutes later, they go for a drive.
Well, I'm here to tell you some great news that you must have never heard before: people like beer, like to get drunk and like to have fun

Uh, the old tradition IS to get fucking drunk, in a nutshell.
You have no idea what you are talking about
Also: I thought it was ireland for a sec.

You act like you find it new and strange that people like to do things they find fun, even if there are risks attached to it.
12 year old kids can't get alcohol here. THere's like very little ways to get it. No elder would want to buy a 12 year old alcohol, and 16 year olds do not really want to give alcohol to 12 year olds. though maybe where you live, but that shit doesn't happen here, only like if you're 14 or something.

how the fuck is this related to anything, now I see you're a troll, excuse me for replying to you
I'm going there next year :D
Ignoring the shitstorm above, this is why Germany is awesome. Well, in this case, Bavaria, but they should share some of their awesomeness with the rest of Germany.
I'm moving to Germany.
Oktoberfest? It is not October.
Oktoberfest? It is not October.
It's celebrating the arrival of october.
(We need a Germany emote)

 Germany in a nutshell.
Germans know how to party for sure. Once I was in Germany on a trip with the wind orchestra I used to play in, to play at the 900th anniversary of some town's establishment. Holy shit, was that an awesome trip... The entire medieval downtown was full of makeshift bars selling beer, cocktails, fast food, and stuff, and the main square was one giant concert stage (and after midnight, it became a disco with lasers and stuff) and then, there was a huge parade where half of the town was taking part in the parade, and the other half was watching (we took part in the march too, was long and tiresome), and all that.
The trip went like the following for us: Drinking on the bus on the way there, next day, practice (The conductor was drunk, mind you), drink, play, drink, party, next day: attend march, drink, party till dawn.
And this was just the celebration of an average size town's anniversary.
Perfect way to get laid with all that beer and women
the roller coaster at oktoberfest (ok just lol at the drunk)

Eww drunk nerd, your probably a violent drinker
I don't drink, but fuck DAMN I'd love to attend one of these. German culture and food is awesome, even if their government is trying to prevent the nazis by becoming nazis these days.

Beer always looks tasy but I don't actually like the taste, sadly.

It's a taste that requires some getting used to.
