When it comes to scientifically proven (not associative shit) things concerning the physical and mental wellbeing of children, I approve of intrusive governments. Smoking indoors in households with children should not be allowed. Outdoors though(even if still on the same property), yeah sure.

It also depends on the amount of smoking being done in the house. If the parent are chain smokers then maybe they should think of smoking elsewhere, but if it's a cig or two, it's not as harmful.

I don't smoke, but personally, if people want to do it in their own homes, then that's fair enough. In fact, most people I know nowadays who do smoke, do so OUTSIDE, rather than INSIDE. And these people don't have kids. I'm all for not smoking around children, but banning people from smoking in their own private house? Ain't happening.
