Facepunch isn't liberal. Things I see mentioned commonly: Death Penalty is good If you aren't a criminal you have nothing to hide Wikileaks should be banned and the creator hanged for treason Smoking should be banned Drugs should be banned Throw some religion in here and Facepunch is the fucking Tea Party
That sounds exactly what a teenager would say.
http://www.forces.org/evidence/evid/second.htm okay you read this please [editline]12:02AM[/editline] my point is everyone shut the hell up you're being retarded stop arguing over something totally ridiculous anyways
Can you get a more reliable source please, I can't take a site seriously when they have "THE STUDY THEY DIDN'T WANT YOU TO SEE!!!!" on it.
government telling us not to do something? rah rah nanny state
I was raised by two parents who smoked my entire childhood and I have no problems, society's raid on smoking is fucking retarded. There's no way people would even listen to a law so stupid as to ban you from smoking within your own home.
That sounds exactly what a teenager would say.
Your post implies absolutely nothing good job
This is literally one of the dumbest ideas I have ever heard. (Not a smoker.)
Smoking should be banned period, but weed allowed.
Haha, you can't be serious. I hope to god you're a troll.
It's the parents job to teach them not to smoke.
I think it comes down to personal responsibility. They should just smoke outside.
I voted yes but have reconsidered. It's the parents job to create a safe environment for the children, so if they choose to smoke around them it's the same as having a home with dangerous objects around really. Most parents love their kids enough to realise that they can smoke outside without too much compromise on their own enjoyment. That, and a law would be really ineffective without random raids on people's homes. It would be better to use the money to fund a campaign on raising awareness of what it does to children because that will affect more parents than a flat out ban on cigarettes in the home.

How the hell would you enforce that?
No, but it should be strongly frowned upon.
yeah cus it fucks up your kids brain and shit
Can you get a more reliable source please, I can't take a site seriously when they have "THE STUDY THEY DIDN'T WANT YOU TO SEE!!!!" on it.
forces.org. are you fucking retarded
I don't think the government should enforce the private behaviours of someone within their own property.
Whoah! This isn't the response I was expecting. With that said, I think it's fine. My father always smoked in the house and I'm just fine. In fact, it actually influenced my decision not to smoke.
but it also helps people deal with stress.
I agree. Just because when you get addicted to cigarettes and don't have one for a long time and get bat shit crazy doesn't mean it won't help get rid of that feeling when you have one. [editline]06:50PM[/editline] Also, the enforcement: kids call the popo
It's fucked up but there's nothing really illegal about it. I assume you're talking about cigarettes and cigars, which fucking stink up a house in no time. I smoke weed and while it has less of the problems associated with tobacco products, I still feel it would be irresponsible to regularly smoke ANYTHING when there are chitlins about. Protect those young lungs - they can make the decision to fuck them up if they want to later in life.
i myself, as a child loved the smell of cigarette smoke guess where that got me :clint: [editline]10:46PM[/editline]
forces.org. are you fucking retarded
their logo: are you fucking retarded
Also, the enforcement: kids call the popo
Children always tell the truth
Yes. When my mum was pregnant my dad smoked a shit load of cigs, resulting in me being born with a very low birth weight. he continued to smoke 50 a day while in the same room with me every day until I was 11 and he walked out on my mum, Resulting in me having stunted growth and bad lungs. He still smokes 50 a day and now has lung cancer. Anyone who says otherwise is fucking retarded, and they should take your kids from you for being an irresponsible cunt who is slowly killing your own innocent kid, but you don't give a shit, all you care about is your fucking fix. Parent smokers are selfish fucks, anyone who smokes should be banned from EVER having kids, unless they are prepared to never smoke a single cigarette near them.
Yes, the government should assume all decision making for us feeble human beings, we must submit all authority to the state so we can be safe.
its not the states fucking choice whether or not you smoke near your kids, next would be should you be aloud to drink near kids. :v:
Voted no. My dad is a smoker and has been smoking even while I was a kid. I see nothing wrong with that...
No
Anyone who says otherwise is fucking retarded,
You obviously have an unbiased opinion not clouded by any emotional resentment you might have towards smokers.
I had to deal with my whole family (parents, two brothers) smoking up unti l a few years ago, secondhand smoke is absolutely horrible if you don't smoke.
It should be considered endangering the children. States should get this across.
You obviously have an unbiased opinion not clouded by any emotional resentment you might have towards smokers.
As unbiased as the millions of kids who have been slowly poisoned by their selfish parents.
