I have one. And looks like you do too. I used to drive a Ford Ka (:v:) before it, and it's like I'm on a 18-wheeler, it's FUCKING AWESOME
Well technically my car is my Touareg, but, that Hilux has been with us for a while, and it was my first car that I could use freely. It's a 2006 by the way. I love driving it, considering, it's survived so much (Red Cross Rescue Vehicle srsbsns) and come out with only a few scratches. It literally has never had a major problem. They are reliable as fuck. [editline]10:59AM[/editline]
Dude, the Artic Challenge was so cool. I loved how they were drinking cocktails in the beginning. :buddy:
There are no drinking and driving rules in international waters sonny. :smug:
Ford > Chevy and Dodge.
In my experience, Fords seem to ride really rough. And their new diesels are atrocious. The stupid second stage turbo is a POS. My friend has one in his truck, and it's given him nothing but trouble. Never really drove a newer Chev though.
The motherfuckin' Toyota Hilux. big img Is there anything else? Seriously. You can get a diesel, it gets very decent gas mileage for a truck. It's a Hilux, it can take knocks, it's easy to maintain, and it's reliable.
Does the gas peddle get stuck? I'm not kidding, tons of those things are having the problem.
Truckasaurus rex!
OP, you're not going to be a parking lot queen are you? Do you actually need a truck to haul stuff, or just to look cool?
The motherfuckin' Toyota Hilux. Is there anything else? Seriously. All though they are damn good trucks if you can get one where you live, i'd use one any day.
Does the gas peddle get stuck? haha
I fucking knew that was coming.
Ford > Chevy and Dodge.
Hahaha, you funny.
in australia we call these utes :downs:
Utes are two-doors based on a car chassis. Pickups are man vehicles based on a truck chassis. Don't buy a dually unless you need one. Otherwise, you'll look like a jackass.
I read the title as "Looking for a good fuck" :tinfoil:
:smug:
Why you need a truck.
So he can lure all the underage girls with a sign on the door that says free candy. I mean, what else would it be good for? [editline]03:47AM[/editline] Oh, my most sincere apologies, I was thinking of a van. Well, what else good is a pickup truck than to transport murder-sodomy (in that order) victims?
You have a Touareg I'm ashamed of myself I'll be leaving now
wha-
Cadillac Escalade ext, looks nice, can do work. My dad has one
Cadillac Escalade ext, looks nice, can do work. My dad has one
lol cadillac do work it's also expensive as fuck
That thing is for people who just buy a truck to try and look good. I think it makes people look like fucking idiots.
Ours is just normal, no extra bullshit on it and whatnot.
OP may want to specify is he's American, European, etc. etc. because that'll help determine which truck they could get. I have a 2007 Toyota Tundra Double Cab (crew cab) with a 5.7L iForce. It's a wonderful truck and has the Toyota quality standard and would highly recommend it.
My dad has a Tundra (I drive it too) and they are great. He uses it as a work truck so it really depends on what you are looking for.
Ours is just normal, no extra bullshit on it and whatnot.
so just 30" rims right
Nope, just 18'' stock rims http://www.cargurus.com/images/2010/01/21/18/50/2003_cadillac_escalade_ext_awd_sb-pic-1536801540642930978.jpeg Looks just like that, that's not mine though.
Ford fanboys don't know the shitty technical details which is the shitty company.
Well I just bought a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport (which has a crew cab) and i'm loving it. Then again, you haven't really given us a price range so this is probably out of reach. Nice truck anyways. who doesn't love heated / air conditioned seats, sirius XM built in to the touch screen, and a sun roof? and there's massive amounts of room in the cab, it's brilliant
Ford fanboys don't know the shitty technical details which is the shitty company.
back it up no anecdotal evidence
The motherfuckin' Toyota Hilux. Is there anything else? Seriously. A new one costs 28k in the US, a 3 year old one might still be 22k. They have crazy resale value, so they're terrible value for the money unless you buy new, but even then 28k is a lot of money.
Remember he is light on cash, so I would go with a 1996 or so dodge ram, my dad has had it since 1996 and it has been really reliable, it has 500k on it and hasn't needed much mechanical work other than a new alternated and starter, but that mite be beause he works up north so it's a nesessety, the mpg isn't half bad either. I can't think of anything elce really, you could go with a older model or a ramcharger.
I know you want a 4-door, but I think a Ranger is good enough. Low maintenance, decent gas mileage, and powerful enough, although if you want to tow you may consider a full-size. You can seat 4 in a pinch too, but the rear seats are not that comfortable.
