Hold on there. I'm trans too in case you couldn't tell from my posts. I understand what you're talking about more then most people. But you don't change the opinions of rude people by being rude in turn.

Yeah, I know your trans, but not all of us are the same. Sometimes people are just too blunt to be calm to them, they'll take it as weakness or ~butthurt :^)~

The things is that by responding to people in an aggressive and hostile manner you more often then not end up solidifying their views rather then changing them. I understand being angry about retarded things people say. I'm rather fucking angry myself, but being hostile solves nothing.

At the very least, don't give them a reason to make other people think they're better than you, even when they aren't
and if they take it as a sign of weakness then in all likelihood you wouldn't of reached them anyways.

you fucking didn't.
And you wonder why there's hostility between the trans and cis.
And you wonder why there's hostility between the trans and cis.
I mean asides from the discrimination, mistreatment, assaults, beatings, rapes, murders of trans people based entirely on their situation I mean
yeah totally me getting a bit pissy about that is why

There is still no need to get borderline flaming on an ignoramus though.
And you wonder why there's hostility between the trans and cis.
Thats not fair to trans people. We don't go out and start killing cis people because they're cis.
Cis people aren't discriminated in the workplace due to the gender they identify as.
Cis people, quite simply, aren't a marginalized minority.
I may not agree with responding to ignorance and bigotry with hostility but don't believe for a second that we have don't have plenty of justification for our occasional hostility.
There is MtF and FtM, then there are people who want to nullify their gender but I do not consider those trans at all because they are not changing gender, they are removing it. End of story, roll credits. Those that call themselves "skaterboy hotairballoonkin" are just attention whores who try hard to make it not seem obvious that they are. Gender dysphoria is a serious condition that both requires medical and psychiatric treatment. End of line, no special treatment beyond that. And I am saying this as a person with actual issues on that matter.
pretty much this, agender people have never been attributed to trans, im dating someone who is agender, all they want to do is remove the pronouns and dress the way they want, tbh i have no problem with that doesn't hurt me at all
i get kinda confused over genderfluid, how people sometimes wake up feeling like a male and the next day female, doesnt that mean your agender anyway?
[editline]20th February 2016[/editline]
ofc both agender and genderfluid people are apart of the trans right movement

Two wrongs doesn't make a right though.
Two wrongs doesn't make a right though.
I completely agree with that. But responding to discrimination and bigotry with hostility is a human reaction.
The only part about going through the process (and it is quite the process) of changing your gender that I find confusing is that you have to KNOW you are removing yourself from the genepool. I'm pretty pro-choice as far as abortion goes, but a sex change or being sterilized is the ultimate abortion to me. You have given every egg or sperm in your body 0% chance, and that just seems entirely too selfish in my eyes. But, I am not attacking any one perspective, there are enough hetero people that procreate and evacuate for trans people to have the option of adopting children.
Actually a lot of places are now storing sperm/eggs for later in life for precisely this reason before they undergo hormone therapy, you are usually fertile before most of your secondary sexual characteristics develop so even early on
Besides which, the gene pool argument is pretty flimsy since there are people who should never have children because they have a very high chance of problems like this couple that just lost their 4th child to a chronic genetic disorder, they didn't have tests to detect it when they first had kids but now all their children have died before turning 20

I was about to get all high and mighty and ask how you can determine who should and should not have children, but ouch. Can't we all just agree that life sucks, and we're all just doing our part as best we can whilst coping and making it right in all the ways that are important to you?
I was about to get all high and mighty and ask how you can determine who should and should not have children, but ouch. So if you were 99% sure that your children would have a serious genetic disorder, you'd still have kids?
We honestly have a massive genepool. A few hundred thousand opting out, isn't an issue what so ever.
That's a problem with society, not the individuals, then.
By that logic ugly people are at fault for being ugly, not the people around them who put them down for it.
You can't go around telling everyone "Hey guys, I'm going through a sex change, don't think bad about me." People see a physical person before a soul. That's why you walk past so many faces each and every day without putting any mind to many of them and only something or somekind of thing or movement you or they do or have is enough to bring your attention and get you thinking. Only when you get that initial relationship with someone, you can trigger an acceptance to a degree in someone. For example I'm not happy when a fat person sits next to me in a wide seat on the bus and I've seen some characters that will end up bothering me for life. You are no different from me in that regard. You also have those moments when you yourself feel like you'd rather not have seen this or that person, but you just know it doesn't matter that much. It's an egotistical little nudge that disappears.
Also not every single transgender person looks like a really ugly woman, there are plenty of incredibly beautiful transgender women indistinguishable from cis women. The fact some might unfortunately not be graced with being so pretty isn't their fault and nobody should blame the transgender woman for finding them disgusting, that's the fault of the individuals looking at them and although they're free to feel however they like they're not free to lay blame on others just because they feel that person is ugly.
I've seen men completely ace the look of a woman without even doing hormone therapy or a sex change. Vice versa too.
It's the fault of the individual for feeling bothered at an unusual sight. Nice point you made there.
And transgenders and LGBTs NEED to STOP calling naturally born people "cis" or "cis-gendered." This is life we're living, not the Matrix or V for Vendetta.
Well that's not my fucking problem, that's the braindead, troglodyte retards who can't rub more than 2 braincells together at a time's problem.

I don't know what you're even trying to accomplish with this line of reasoning? The first thing you imply is that you shouldn't expect basic human understanding and empathy from people, and then you go on some tirade about relationships and shit? Then you strongly imply that if you saw a trans person or a fat person it would scar you for life? If that's the case then you have some pretty fucking serious issues.

Cool? I again fail to see what the hell you're even trying to imply with this.

The problem is, the first thing I think of when someone says cis is that sign 'Die Cis Scums' and those tumblr SJWs. I don't know, it feels more like a deogratory term for a non-trans than a proper term for non-trans to me.

if cis was an insult they wouldn't have to add "scum" to the end

remind yourself that it's not a derogatory word then
if you know it's not a bad word and you know that the problem you have is a knee-jerk one, then you can work on stopping the knee from jerking

I didn't imply, I said it. Society is conservative and will look at you and go "...What the fuck." when they see an incomplete transition from one gender to another. Same when you and a few other users saw my initial post and lashed out on me. But in the case of trans, ugly, fat, weird people, society will just accept the situation and mind their own business.
Then you strongly imply that if you saw a trans person or a fat person it would scar you for life? If that's the case then you have some pretty fucking serious issues.
