Not to the degree that watch dogs did. Not at all.
if you applied the patch that turned on a shitton of post effects, it looks nearly as good as the E3 demo (bar the random debris flying around).
I wonder if the protagonist will have a personality this time His outfit was fucking cool but he was somehow more generic than a silent protagonist
I hope there isn't some stupid mechanic preventing me from beating the shit out of innocent civilians this time. Who plays an open world game and doesn't harm anything that moves?
I'm amazed people take Ubisoft seriously lmao
Ubi are the kings of making games with 10/10 premises with a 3/10 execution of that idea. Watch dogs, The Division, Probably watch dogs 2, probably Wildlands, all recent AC games.
I wouldn't be surprised if they just meme'd the fuck out in an attempt to grab people's attention. [editline]6th June 2016[/editline] By the way, there was a leak of what the new main character looks like. Looks better than the main character from the first game at least.
just noticed guy said new game in new series and watch dogs 2. does he know the meaning of the word series?
I wish the business and PR side of ubisoft would all be fired and replaced with a completely different team. The devs are clearly competent and talented AF but they are rushed and can never produce the desired results. like, Watch Dogs could have been a GOTY worthy title had the devs just had the time to finish it. They could make games that are GTA5-tier quality if they had the time to work on it.
Not all actors are gamers.
Yes but the word series applies for films and stuff too. Like the 2 implies it is not the first in the series.
Can't wait to see scripted bullshit footage
why do you think the first trailer is called "Hello World"
You know its a shame because the concept on paper has so many fucking good ideas An open world stealth cyberpunk adventure with a plot about corruption and conspiracy like a modern Deus Ex , while you play a tactical badass using his wits over gunplay to roam the streets as a vigilante On wait no it's just shitty GTA
-snip-
NOPE I'm not falling for this shit again ubisoft you fucking cunts
Only reason I bought WatchDogs was because I watch Person of Interest. This time i'm going to wait though to see how this turns out.

You could force it back to near-E3 levels of quality with little difference in performance, sure, but that means they deliberately downgraded the graphics for no real reason. Like, some games do it for performance, i'll grant you, but this one iirc barely had any impact on most PCs. So, why? The majority of the W_D controversy could have been avoided. It's almost like they WANTED the shitshow they got.

Like, really strong DoF and high contrast looks pretty in a trailer but doesn't work well at all from a gameplay perspective.
I am always baffled by the fact that Ubisoft thought that Aiden was an acceptable protagonist. Everything about him is beyond stupid, his problems are all his fault, and he actively ruined the lives of everyone around him, and pretends to be some sort of secret vigilante hero... While every single person in the country knows who he is, all the while the game willfully encourages the player to make him steal people's life savings, blow up their phones when they are just doing their jobs, or cause horrific infrastructure damage for no reason

If he had an ounce of charisma it could have worked.
Press E to remember. Shitty driving physics, empty city.......
... I think this might contest for the worst teaser I've ever seen. :v: Not only was it dragged out and dull, it was badly animated and looked just weird. The character is just tapping a screen and shit happens. He/She's not even tapping any buttons it's literally command prompts wtf is this witchcraft [editline]7th June 2016[/editline]
This code looks familiar...
iirc that's just open source Linux coding or something like that, it's basically the lorem ipsum of programming

The kind that's not realistic in any way shape or form, tapping the phone screen with your thumb is no better than someone mashing on a keyboard while lines of meaningless code appear.
Well you could totally make a phone app with an ux that can be used that way, but that sure as hell wasn't it.
that was like baby's first hand animation. so floaty and unnatural
The phone doesn't even move in sync meaning they didn't bind it to a bone, its just floating inside the hand, its pretty clear when the thumb clips through a few times and when pressing they go crazy on the movement. Whoever animated this was clearly either an intern or amateur.

Ubisoft has a nice design team though, Assassins Creed certainly does not lack atmosphere and the Far Cry games also bring some cool concepts out. In the end i think its just the cooperate heads that are making deadlines which in turn makes the games suffer.
You do realize those games are not made by "The Ubisoft design team" but rather different game studios, right?
Should have said "teams" but still, its Ubi who owns the studios. Also, AC Unity, Watch_Dogs and Far Cry 3 + 4 have all been made by Ubi Montreal
well shit
Here's to hoping that people will be smart enough to not buy into Ubi's usual bullshit.
