I thoroughly enjoy looking at them myself and love the bright colors and different fashion statements I can make with different pairs of shoes. It's not just to show off to others, it's also to maybe feel like "hey, I look pretty cool with these on". Goes for any article of clothing though.
I get mad self esteem boosts when I look good so kickin' shoes really help.
