just pretend dishonored is a sequel, it kinda is in a sense
You can't kick people in Dishonored. There are no conspicuous wall spikes in Dishonored. It's just not the same.
I wonder if DH would have been more like DM if it were a PC exclusive. I've never played DH with a controller but could they have fit a kick button somewhere into the control scheme?
I also don't think you could create traps to make enemies slip and slide in DH.

we've had crazier franchise revivals in the past.
The thing that I remember most vividly from this game besides the crazy physics
are those damn fucking spiders
The worm used to freak me the fuck out and I'd just noclip through the whole level because fuck that thing
I haven't thought about this game in a long ass time. I loved playing this as a kid. Being able to kick people into spikes and off buildings was the coolest shit. I miss the diversity this game offered in play style, I can't imagine being able to find anything quite like this in 2017 (other than maybe the new Zelda) if you're 13 years old.
I played a crazy amount of this back in the day, multiplayer was so much fun. It was one of the first games I ever saw/played that allowed you to knock enemies into ragdoll form then have them get up again.
What I found really frustrating is that they kept promising full custom map support was coming soon then it just fizzled out and people had to hack their own maps together
It was fun but it wasn't very memorable. I just flew through the game since it allows you to be cheap in almost every occasion.
The wizard girl was annoying. Hell, I even saved her and she just dies instantly afterwards by running right in front of my fireball.
I also encountered a progression stopping bug when a door that leads to the catacombs towards the end doesn't open. Took me ages to figure out where to go since it looks like a part of the scenery. I had to use noclip.
I kinda disagree with him on the bow part. Sure early game bows are hard to use right, but as you get the lategame bow perks, it turns into a headshot machinegun which can kill most enemies in about 2 hits if you can aim.
I must've been playing on normal but I remember insta-killing enemies with stealth headshots with the rope bow, which does almost nil damage.
I loved this game like 12 years ago, I didn't remember it being so ridiculous though
Holy fuck the sound orcs make when they fall off cliffs never gets old though
The 2 second silence and then the overly loud "AAAAAGGHH" :v:
Being much further along in the story, god I forgot how clunky everything was.
The crashing makes the game pretty hard to play. It's not just on this PC though, in past PC's it could even make bluescreens happen. Seems like life doesn't want me to enjoy this game.
I've never heard of this game before, but I really want to play it now.

It was my late childhood, would recommend.

Dishonored 2, Prey and MGS V are all very recent games which are fundamentally based on fucking around with obscure solutions to straight forward problems.
I only wish DM had some decent custom content/SP maps

Prey is probably the only one of those three that gets closer to Dark Messiah, if only because there are more environment hazards. But even then the Typhon aren't exactly easy to push into those hazards, and most of the hazards are just pipes you can rupture for instant fire.
Dishonoured 2 and Prey focus more on you flexibility with tools rather than using the environment against opponents in underhanded ways like Dark Messiah.
