Well not that, we are legally allowed to show pride its just a cultural point that we have hesitated to do so since the end of WWII (mostly in part to the old generation influencing the younger).
But also I feel like the Deutsch chat thread would be the closest to a thread similar to this, otherwise it would become a fad and spam.
America is a melting pot though, made of many nationalities and lineages. 1/3 of America can trace its legacy back to German ancestors, and they can be just as proud to be German as American. Just because you legally live in one place doesn't mean your heart/support can't be in another too.
