The fact that you can write a post like this in English is one step closer to your greencard. I'm not sure how to actually immigrate here legally though or where to begin at least. They'll make you learn some basics about the American governmental system and you'll probably have to recite the pledge and things like of that nature. If you're wanting to live here on a budget, I highly suggest you stay away from the Northeast, such as New York City (where many aspire to live), or the west coast like California. I live in the South, it's pretty dull down here. However, I'm only two hours from Disnley Land (lol). Florida can be expensive, depending on the county. Do take in mind that there are lots of bigot rednecks in the South who don't take kindly to foreigners, just because they're ignorant.
You'll probably have a lot of luck in the Midwest though.

You'd be suprised how easy it is to get to the US of A. I'm just going to assume the dwindeling country you are currently in is somewhere in Europe.
So, the USA is across a vast see from Europe, yes? What you do is join your country's navy, then you Travel the world for a bit, see the sites, all on a beautiful ship, like a cruise.
Then eventually, when you go to an American port, which will probably be in New York, Delaware, Florida, and every other eastern state with a port, you either run off, away from the ship never to be found, or you fake an injury (a legit injury would up your chances) to get unenlisted from your Navy, or whatever you call it.
Now you can settle in New York, which I reccomend, there are many immigrants there, as well as food (people throw uneaten chicken legs away) and shelter.
And if you work hard for about 2 weeks you could get an apartment.
The end. You are now a true American.
