Think of all the injuries we would have because people walking into the glass.
Wow that bit where the whole wall was a video conference of another room, I haven't even seen that in science fiction, that's an amazing idea
have fun buying six 7970s to run a 60,000x80,000 wall display webcam at 200 FPS, like in the doctor room.
7970s will be outdated, use some glass instead.
It's cool that all of those futuristic movies are coming to life, but I'd rather remain as we were 10ish years ago, because I don't like all this high tech shit, it makes me feel like we'll have the outcome of the film I, Robot.
AND THEN THERE WERE GLASS ROBOTS TAKING OVER THE PLANET

Godammit, why cant the future come any faster!
Where are the video games? Imagine running inside your house with this thing.
Did anybody else think of this?
The only problem is what if I want to use my Tablet for porn, but people can see the other side?
Somehow I think having a glass dashboard would be a bad idea. It would turn a small car crash into having a violent blast of superglass coming at you at eye-level
I find it funny how in all these "Future technology" videos, the video introduces us to some multimillionaires home and to a technology that costs another ten million to implement into your house. They all speak about "this will be our future". No, it's gonna be the rich peoples future. The future doesn't change the fact that the technology behind this video costs like a motherfucker and an average joe can just dream about even owning a tablet of some sort. Future doesn't solve poverty.
Why did i cringe when he was stood on the Solar Panels..
Why did i cringe when he was stood on the Solar Panels..
He is blocking power to the solar panels I guess
If all this shit happens in the future I'm probably going to be one of those old people who refuse to accept technology. Last thing we need is to be looking at screens 24/7.
Fingerprints everywhere!
I do not like touchscreens and I hope that either the future is not like this or that touch screens are different. They provide no feedback whatsoever to tell you that you are pressing a button, it is agonizing for me to write posts or e-mails with my iphone, and I mess up like once every 10 characters.
what if someone throws a fucking rock at the glass, or spills a coke or something?
what if someone throws a fucking rock at the glass, or spills a coke or something?
A) The glass is being designed to be durable B) Look at super-hydrophobic coating.

Don't understand why all of that high tech shit is needed in the class rooms, the good old blackboard works just fine. Seeing bunch of flashy things is going to enchance you're learning ? Okay.
Don't understand why all of that high tech shit is needed in the class rooms, the good old blackboard works just fine. Using touch screens allows for more interactivity and hopefully more fun, a blackboard isn't very interactive or fun is it?
and here i am thinking of getting rid of my cellphone...
Ugh. It's a cool vision for the future, but interaction through huge touchscreen displays like these will never become commonplace. The reason is simple; the principle of "least effort required" will always prevail. That's why motion controls in videogames aren't becoming standard; it's much easier to just slump in the couch with a comfortable sixaxis. For the same reason most people won't like dancing around in front of a motion capture camera or swing a weemote around, most people won't like having to use big arm motions and finger swipes to navigate around simple menus to perform mundane tasks. You don't want upper-body exercise when creating a shopping list, organizing meetings or browsing the web by navigating a massive glass pane; you want a minimum-effort interaction medium involving minuscule motions or otherwise those simple tasks becomes a strain quickly. Touchscreens are pretty much as large, accurate and discrete as they'll ever need to be right now. What we need to improve is cost-effectiveness and power consumption. Glass tablets, remotes, doors, windows and such may be useful, but your closet door isn't gonna become a glass touchscreen.
If the kids are having fun while they learn, they'll learn better. Using touch screens allows for more interactivity and hopefully more fun, a blackboard isn't very interactive or fun is it?
Myself and my friends agree that all this flashy shit such as interactive whiteboards don't do a better job at making us learn. Blackboard learning is still the 'best' way. Also, teachers aren't gonna know how to use all the new shit or it'll break down all the time, as technology in schools does, so if we become entirely dependent on digital technology in classrooms the chances are that it will cause much more disruption than there is currently in classrooms.
Fuck glass I want holograms
I fucking hate this touchscreen obsession that some people have.
I like it because it makes devices look a lot better, and it allows the screen to be larger without the device becoming larger because it would need physical keys.
The only problem is what if I want to use my Tablet for porn, but people can see the other side?
You watch porn in public?

Back in the mid 1990s it was a rich mans things to own a boxed tv, the poor could no way afford it.. however now the giant LED HD screen tv's are a rich mans thing while tiny boxed tvs that cost around $40 bucks on ebay can be afforded by the poor.. When the cell phone first came out big and clunky they were a rich mans luxury.. Now most people can afford a cheap $20 phone, and the rich ones get the smart phones.. Now tablets are a luxury, in the future I'm sure we'll have some that even the less fortunate can afford.. It would turn a small car crash into having a violent blast of superglass coming at you at eye-level
Also yeah the glass dashboard is kind of dangerous also with the fact that there aren't any buttons, you're forced to look down at everything you are doing, and cant keep your eyes on the road and adjust some settings with a touch screen, normally with buttons you can extend your hand and feel around for the switches and stuff.. This is why most car companies include touch screen panels as well as manual buttons.
I don't want to use touchscreens in school. Goddamnit it's filthy enough using school weight room equipment I don't want to be touching the same desktop touchscreen that the other five or six people used when they sat in my desk in other periods.
