How is dating someone with a physical disability that much different from dating someone with a mental disorder? Nobody is perfect. You've chosen to be with someone with a disability because you believe your relationship with them is worth sharing in their struggle. Given the prevalence of mental disorders (1 in 5 Americans), many of us have to make this choice at some point.
any kind of physical affection or longing just indicates that a girl is weak and cannot be self sufficient, it is not my job to fill emotional holes, only her physical ones my ideal girl is someone who neither needs nor wants me, it's not worth the risk
My ex girlfriend had depression, because of that she was addicted to smoking weed, and wanted me to smoke too. She wouldn't take no for an answer, and because I loved her I did it (which is stupid) Aside from that and a few 'I want to die' tumblr posts, you wouldnt know she had depression unless she told you.
He broke up with her, plus the guy doesn't know me and she seems to be completely hating him. Meh, will see when and what happens I guess...
She wants to come over the day after a breakup and says its okay to admit your love for her and that she wants to sleep in your bed. The ex was trying to dictate her actions and tell her that she couldn't visit you or talk to you. I mean come on. You said shes not interested in being in a relationship with you so it's likely revenge sex. I bet that breakup (if they really broke up) is going to be nothing but drama in the future and that ex will likely come knocking on your door eventually. By all means have sex with her if you want to but be prepared to deal with the drama.
She said she wants to come over somewhere in the coming few weeks. No one said a day after breaking up
But she still told you all these things the day after the breakup or the same day as the breakup based on what you've provided. It's kind of sketchy to me..
I treat dating people with mental issues / disabilities by a case to case basis. Everyone is different. Some people with depression, like me, you'd never even know. And I'm great. So giving on everyone with a certain mental illness is pretty extreme.
Well, things are going better with the girl I brought over so that's good Dating her wouldn't be a good idea but now that she's used to the place she's acting pretty chill
Soooo, i got a letter today where it said i MUST go test my self because someone i had sex with was treated for chlamydia. First i don't even know who and second i haven't had sex for like 2 months and third I feel great. Yes i know they say sometimes you don't notice anything. It's also the first time i get a letter demanding i go to test my self. Should i be worried?
Uhhh I'd go get tested anyway. Not gonna hurt.

Don't mention the letter and don't go to the clinic the letter recommends (if it does)
Letter says i have to take it with me when i see the penis doctor so he can sign it because i think it's pretty illegal to ignore the letter.
Who sent the letter? If it was the state get it signed. If it was the person who apparently had sex with you don't get it signed. Either way, get the testing done so it's on record.

Could be my ex but last time was in September last year and i've been with 3-4 girls after that ( One night stand) Kind of.

Just be wary in general. Your health records are private and a clinic you don't go to shouldn't have access to your medical information. Good luck - hope you don't have a STD.

Maybe this is a similar case? Rather than the clinic being malicious

Letter says "A person who dealt with us for chlamydia has indicated sexual contact with you. There is a risk that even you have an infection" So it's telling me to go and take a test as soon as i can. It's normal procedure here, If you test yourself for STD and it's positive then according to law you must name every person you had sexual contact with in let say within 6 months and then a letter gets dispatched to every single person you had sexual contact with. So it does not spread more. It's probably the same in the US i assume?

Of course, as far as I know, I've never had sex with someone who had an STD, so it's not something I would have experience with. I always got the impression that it's more the responsibility of whoever tested positive to contact their recent partners. Never heard of the clinics themselves doing it for patients.

I don't understand why the clinic requires a doctors signature and the letter to be sent back. I wouldn't want a clinic I've never used before to suddenly know who my primary physician is or if I test positive or not for privacy reasons. But I'm not familiar with Sweden laws so eh.

If you're not in a relationship and you're having one night stands, even with proper protection, you should get tested once a month or once every 3 months just to play it safe.

Cyke do you ever like think before you post. It doesn't make them a nanny state because clinics take precautionary measures to protect people from allowing an STD to go untreated. There's no personal information being shared. Just a tip off that HEY maybe you should get tested. 1-3 months is a long time to just be having an STD or STI without getting treated. You could spread it to plenty of other people in that time. It's a safe precautionary measure and I honestly wish we had that here. There are a lot of idiots out there who spread this shit without being aware of it.
Gf has been back for a few days from a 5 week holiday. I really think we grew apart in that time, and I think she thinks it too. She's been really quiet and been ignoring me ever since she came back. Dunno how long it's going to last between us

Donno about you man but what diseases I do or don't have is one of the last things I'd want my government to know
I hate to tell you this, but the government can already access your medical records whenever they need to. It's a thing. Might as well just not go to the doctor.

So like... my first and only relationship ended last week after five years and because of a completely retarded reason... I want to put it behind me and eventuality meet someone new but like... I seriously don't know how. I'm not afraid of rejection or anything, I just literally don't know where people my age (26) hang out. I checked out the bars in my area but they're all sports bars so they're packed out with old fat guys and families with kids. Where else do people go?
I hate to tell you this, but the government can already access your medical records whenever they need to. It's a thing. if it's something contagious that you could be giving people yes you can already face consequences if you know you have something but still give it to people
