When water freezes, it forms microcrystals. These are generally very sharp and pointy, and water also expands when it freezes. So, what happens to all our cells? They pop. The ice causes irreversible damage to tissue, destroying cells. Also, leaving aside bodily death, what do you think happens to the mind? It just continues going? The electrical currents and chemical reactions would shut down completely, and thinking/memory relies on ACTIVE electrochemical reactions. Take away the electrochemistry, and you've got a wiped disk. Brain death.
So yes, freezing to death does happen.
That was actually pretty informative.
So what are you saying, I'm a genius ?
Troll
The problem is that when the water in our bodys freezes, it expands and breaks our cells. The first full body vitrfication was done in 2005. The earlier cryoniced cases are pretty much hopeless, as there is too much of cell damage.
In vitrification you dont actually freeze the body, avoiding water chrystallation and cell damage.
Not only the whole Freezerburn argument, but since the blood stops flowing the Brain would die, therefore the body dies.

No, but you're a poor attempt at trolling.

Microcrystals cause Frostbite.
You have Oil on your skin, and your body is 99% Water, you can freeze to death.

They keep the blood circulation running with machines after you die for an awhile untill they replace your blood with other substances. And freeze the body slowly to -196c.
Now, when someone is frozen, their heart seizes to beat, their blood no longer travels through the veins and all other internal body functions that normally are running at a hundred percent, stop.
They're not ruined nor damaged in any way, they just stop.
Given all the organs are frozen simultaneously, then there's damage to the body that is sustained over time.
"Hey guys listen to my dumbshit theory based on my grade 6 level of science education! I'm a fucking genius why hasn't anyone thought of it before!!!"
Lets act like a dick just because some kid tries theorizing without enough information. Most of science progress is based on setting theory with insufficient information and then trying to prove it right. Just don't act like an arrogant prick and tell him why he is wrong.
@OP: No. Body gets damaged by the cold in different ways.
1. Frozen water expands it's volume, tearing every cell containing it, effectively destroying many vital organs. There are solutions how to avoid this, but I can guarantee you that if you freeze outside without complex preparation, you will be as good as dead in that moment.
2. Many biological or even chemical processes continue even in temperatures under 0 degrees Celsius. You would need to freeze the body to much lower temperature to make it preserved for longer terms of time.
There is extreme tissue damage when cells are exposed to extremely cold temperatures. Think: Super Frostbite.

Frostbite doesn't require amputation the limbs are just real cold
I heard the reason to die after this is that the ice crystals that will form in your body (everbody knows we're 80% water) will penetrate your cell walls.
This
I hate Carlos Mencia.
When someone freezes, all of their cells expand and burst much like a bottle with liquid inside it.
As far as I know there's no way to make all the cells in a human body regenerate after something like that.
Lets freeze up, and warm him up again to make him realize what a dumbshit he is.
The "Hot goo" theory reminds me of Austin Powers being unfrozen.

Yay, another person that doesn't know what a defibrillator does.
Hypothermia, asphyxiation, and even blood clots can be caused by freezing.
They take back their words.
Aha, okey thanks.
crystals from inside the cells destroying them, and if the brain goes without blood for about 60 seconds, there is irreversible braindamage, then death.
crystals from inside the cells destroying them, and if the brain goes without blood for about 60 seconds, there is irreversible braindamage, then death.
Also, two minutes without sufficient oxygen intake for minimal brain damage, seven for severe, and twelve for death. And if you do unfreeze someone who was already frozen, chances are that their blood is going to remain in a somewhat frozen state, and we all know what happens with chunks of solidified blood.
This must be the greatest theory ever.
Ok so OP is a troll.
How did I totally miss that.
