Why do you get away with posts like this. Like, his idea is stupid, but really, how do you get away with shit like that.
You have been here since 2006 and you don't know he's a fucking Dragon?
Oh shit, this is a troll, right?
The cold does irreversible tissue damage over time, preventing them from being revived. Try putting a grape in the freezer for a few days, then thawing it out. Note the difference.
I understand what you're saying, but I'd just like to say that grape =\= flesh.
Permanent brain damage? :bang:
Yay, another person that doesn't know what a defibrillator does.
Hollywood tells them that it brings people back to life.
... and how does Carlos Mencia still get to do stand-up ? Discuss..
He steals his jokes from people who are actually funny.
"Hey guys listen to my dumbshit theory based on my grade 6 level of science education! I'm a fucking genius why hasn't anyone thought of it before!!!"
You can't really go around discouranging people like that. Yeah maybe it's something that a lot of people have though of, but maybe he develops those "grade 6 level of science education" and actually finds a way to de-freeze if you will, a person.
Oh shit, this is a troll, right?
Who gives a shit. Why does being a troll somehow excuse people of being idiots. This is a stupid theory, and he should feel stupid for it, troll or not.
do you want to test your theory
HEY HEY, HERES MY THEORY ON HOW TO SURVIVE FREEZING: First your going to need lots and lots of life water Drink it all, then you will be filled with life water so when you freeze instead of ice crystals it will be LIFE crystals then jump in some warm jello and use difibulazorz. :bravo: Troll thread...
yeh
What we need to do, is to find a proper method of unfreezing someone who is deeply frozen.
Save this man, doctor.
When water freezes, it forms microcrystals. These are generally very sharp and pointy, and water also expands when it freezes. So, what happens to all our cells? They pop. The ice causes irreversible damage to tissue, destroying cells. Also, leaving aside bodily death, what do you think happens to the mind? It just continues going? The electrical currents and chemical reactions would shut down completely, and thinking/memory relies on ACTIVE electrochemical reactions. Take away the electrochemistry, and you've got a wiped disk. Brain death. So yes, freezing to death does happen.
Your brain isn't a stick of ram, the reason it stops working is because the lack of oxygen causes irreversible brain damage; not because your brain was wiped.
Save this man, doctor.
He probably rotted before he was even frozen.
I have thought out certain theories regarding people being frozen. Now, when someone is frozen, their heart seizes to beat, their blood no longer travels through the veins and all other internal body functions that normally are running at a hundred percent, stop. They're not ruined nor damaged in any way, they just stop. image Now the person whom is frozen would be defined as not alive, better known as dead. Because it can no longer reply to any actions what so ever, and this is because its frozen. Some would say frozen to death, but no - the person is simply frozen. What we do wrong, is that we unfreeze people to death. Well, some people who are frozen don't really ever get the chance to survive. Perhaps they are located at rather unfitting spot, or maybe they're carrying a disease that can take on greater colds and survive longer than other organisms in the body. What we need to do, is to find a proper method of unfreezing someone who is deeply frozen. I haven't really given that part so much thought, so I figured maybe you had some ingenious theories. The best way would most likely be to lower the frozen person into some hot liquid, and eventually using defibrillators to restart the body. image I guess a shitload of hot jelly would do the trick. Is this plausible, am I a genius and how does Carlos Mencia still get to do stand-up ? Discuss..
you do realize that ice crystales get into the flesh while it is frozen destroying the flesh if you froze something like the human brain or flesh and left it out in the open for so long and let it defrost it would turn into a pile of mush because the ice crytals tore it apart and damged it the only thing left is the dna and mush and the bacteria would eat it too
Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't there a way to freeze a body without crystals forming?
He probably rotted before he was even frozen.
no, his vein are just stoped.

Thats right it doesnt work because youre fucking stupid and dont know shit about biology because you spent all the time in the class staring at the girls ass that was infront of you
Hey guys if people can get crushed to death why don't we find a way to uncrush them. Hey guys if people can get shot to death why don't we just unshoot them?
Hey guys if people can get crushed to death why don't we find a way to uncrush them.
Uh, I'm pretty sure that's called reconstructive surgery. But nice attempt at beating a very dead horse.
This thread reminds me of that one scary story where the mountain climbers were found dead. You know, the one where they were found naked and scratched up and their bodies with abnormally high levels of radiation. [editline]07:30PM[/editline]
Uh, I'm pretty sure that's called reconstructive surgery. when your froze you can't move but the stuff is still moving cuz everything moves unless it's at absolute zero which must be REALLY cold I don't like the cold so I live in Phoenix
when your froze you can't move but the stuff is still moving cuz everything moves unless it's at absolute zero which must be REALLY cold I don't like the cold so I live in Phoenix
Is that also why you're on crack?
Apart from the bad spelling Sockpuppetss is right, for something to completely stop moving it would have to be at 0 degrees Kelvin. However, that doesn't take away the fact we can't repair the damage at higher temperatures.
Is that also why you're on crack?
Find a way to un-crack him!
This theory makes sense, till you realize that when they freeze the supply of oxygen to their brain ceases. Your brain can only go so long without oxygen before you suffer brain damage. So long being in the range of about... well, you die somewhere in the range of about 8 minutes. Unfortunately when the red cross wrote their Lifeguarding handbook, they didn't think it was important if you knew if the person you'd be reviving would be brain damaged or not.
Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't there a way to freeze a body without crystals forming?
i think if you freeze it really fast and keep it that way with out it melting you could but thats still hard because the bodys made up of water and it would have to do it fast i know this because i saw a presntation where thay froze the water in liqud nitrogen and it froze so fast it did not expand so you could be right
I understand what you're saying, but I'd just like to say that grape =\= flesh.
Well, no, but it is pretty much the same effect - without actually freezing something to death to work it out, haha :)
No. You freeze to death because as your core body temp lowers, blood vessels constrict. The body naturally sacrifices feet and hands to save vital organs, the lower your temperature goes beyond this point makes your muscles shiver big time to generate more heat, blood thickens, Your oxygen consumption rate rises and the cold hampers electrical impulses your body makes, your heart pumps less blood, organs shut down, etc... When you freeze to death, your shit doesn't just stop, it shuts down system after system
I'll just explain this with pictures...
