I hate talking to people unnecessarily, come from Alaska, and am in love with the rain. Would I enjoy Sweden?
Everyone talks to EVERYONE The rain never arrives (hence the socialism part because of bad crops etc) Therefore, No, you wouldn't enjoy Sweden
You're welcome to come here, friend
Norway protects us from rain, Finland protect us from Russians and Denmark is the country we pass when buying cheap alcohol in Germany. It's perfect. The only negative thing about Sweden is the Polar bear training course our children are forced to do at the age of 7, this includes learning how to ski and how the load and shot a shotgun in case of a polar bear attack. It's rather common up north.
How are foreign degrees appreciated there, namely Canadian ones
I couldn't say. If the degree in question is compliant with the educational standards defined in the Bologna Accord then it should be fine.
It's rather common up north.
Rather.
Sweden is, well, on the north side of the globe
How are foreign degrees appreciated there, namely Canadian ones
My teacher is from Canada so my guess is that they are fine
I'd go there for the blondies.
Go to Norway
Stay out of Moss if you do. It smells of moss. And sheep. But mostly moss.
I like living here. I'm not ecstatic nor a proud nationalist. I just feel very comfortable with it all and I don't think I would like to live anywhere else. [editline]21st September 2011[/editline] Except for Finland. But I have other reasons for that.
Why would anyone want to live in Finland?
Because Suomen live porn konsertteja
Why would anyone want to live in Finland?
It's pretty great here. If you happen to native and white, that is. If you're brown, foreign or both, it probably sucks. So yeah. Basically, If you don't already live in Finland, you probably would not want to.
Another interesting fact is that titles are very rarely used in Sweden. You don't use "Mr." or "Mrs." when speaking to someone in Sweden, even formally. It's generally frowned upon and many people will ask you to call them by their regular names.

Sweden is a overhyped shithole, go to Norway or something.. they have oil.
It's because of the JANTE LAW
Nope, titles were abolished in 1969 since the society by then had been more equal. Before that it was a norm to address people who belonged to a better class with titles, but in the 60's when everyone belonged to the same class, this became a problem, so it was abolished because it was inconvenient.
Sweden is full of cheap shit, according to my experiences.
Sweden is full of cheap shit
Cheap quality shit that is. :v: I go grocery shopping there every other weekend.
Cheap in terms of how much you pay for it, not in quality. I just used "shit" as a synonym for "stuff".
Do you have to be a swedish national to join their armed forces?
2nd or 3rd Generation. Cant remember what one though.
2nd or 3rd Generation. Cant remember what one though.
No, you just need a citizenship.
No, you just need a citizenship.
No
No

Grundkrav Svensk medborgare. Även dubbla medborgarskap accepteras. Vid ansökningstillfället ha lägst fyllt 18 år. English: Required Swedish citizenship. Double citizenships accepted. Must atleast be 18 years at time of application.

I hate talking to people unnecessarily, come from Alaska, and am in love with the rain. Would I enjoy Sweden?
It has been raining alot this past month actually, at least in Stockholm. Not that I complain, I find rain to be very underrated. Whites are not worth jack shit there because of their skin color.
