I live in Surrey and the place is absolutely fine and peaceful there. Everytime when I introduce myself to someone else who isn't from Surrey and tell them that im from there, they will almost always reply with "Oh really? I heard a friend of mine got robbed there once". It's funny at first but gets really annoying after hearing this nonsense over and over again.

Well Surrey is a big ugly sprawl that bleeds into dozens of smaller communities, and some of those are legitimately awful, like Newton or Whalley. South Surrey/White Rock is dope though
